Bosse Broberg

	Bosse Broberg Bosse Broberg (born September 6, 1937, Ludvika) is a Swedish jazz trumpeter and composer. Broberg learned to play accordion as a child and switched to trumpet aged 14. He studied music at the University of Uppsala and performed there in his own small ensemble in a hard bop idiom. He worked for many years with Gugge Hedrenius beginning in the early 1960s, and was with Arne Domnerus from 1964 to 1968; he also worked with Börje Fredriksson and Jan Johansson. He took leadership of Sveriges Radio's jazz programming in 1966, keeping the position to 1990; he founded the radiojazzgruppen in 1967 and composed and arranged for the orchestra. He played with Red Mitchell from 1971 to 1982 and with the Sandviken Big Band from 1975 to 1985. In the 1980s, he worked with Christer Boustedt and Åke Johansson. 	Barry Kernfeld Barry Dean Kernfeld (born August 11, 1950) is an American musicologist and jazz saxophonist who has researched and published extensively about the history of jazz and the biographies of its musicians. Education In 1968, Kernfeld enrolled at University of California, Berkeley; then, from April 1970 to September 1972, he focused on being a professional saxophonist. In October 1972, Kernfeld enrolled at the University of California, Davis, where, in 1975, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in musicology. From 1975 to 1981, he studied at Cornell University where he focused on jazz. Cornell awarded him a master's degree in 1978 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree 1981. 	Django D'Or The Golden Django, named after guitarist Django Reinhardt, is an award for jazz musicians in Europe. The trophy is a creation of the French painter Raymond Moretti. It was first introduced in France (in 1992), then in Belgium (1995), in Sweden and Italy (1999) and finally in Denmark (2001). Belgian palmares Since 1995, Belgium has had its own Golden Django ceremony. 	Christer Boustedt Christer Boustedt (21 March 1939 in Bromma – 4 September 1986 in Alfta, Ovanåker Municipality) was a Swedish musician and actor. He was primarily a jazz musician playing the saxophone, and contributed film music to many Swedish films. He was considered to be one of Sweden's most renowned jazz musicians of his time, and teamed with several of the most famous musicians in the genre, in Sweden and internationally. As an alto saxophone player he was much influenced by Charlie Parker and worked in the bebop tradition. This was especially signified on one of his most noticed albums: ''Blues, Ballads and Bebop'' (1985).
