Alain Bosquet
Alain Bosquet, born Anatoliy Bisk (russian: Анато́лий Биск) (28 March 1919 – 17 March 1998), was a French poet. Life In 1925, his family moved to Brussels and he studied at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, then at the Sorbonne. He fought in the Belgian army in 1940, then in the French army. In 1942, he fled with his family to Manhattan, where he helped edit the Free French magazine ''Voix de France''. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received U.S. citizenship. He met his wife, Norma Caplan, in Berlin. He was Special Adviser to the mission on behalf of the Allied Control Council Quadripartite Council of Berlin from 1945 to 1951. In 1947, with Alexander Koval and Edouard Roditi founded the German-language literary review, '' Das Lot'' ("The Sounding Line"), six numbers from October 1947 until June, 1952, with publisher Karl Heinz Henssel in Berlin. Don Bousquet (born 1948) is a Rhode Island–based cartoonist. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. His cartoon ''Bousquet'' regularly appears in ''The Providence Journal'', ''Rhode Island Monthly'', and the ''South County Independent'' and his work has also appeared in numerous other publications, such as ''Yankee Magazine''. Most of Bousquet's best sellers were published by Covered Bridge Press. On March 29, 2014, Bousquet retired from one of his most visible platforms, his Sunday placement in ''The Providence Journal'', and would be "winding down" his drawing. Business Bousquet and his son started up a company named Don Bousquet and Son Aerial Photography. Their business has been taking photos in the sky since the 1980s. Pierre François Joseph Bosquet (8 November 18105 February 1861) was a French Army general. He served during the French conquest of Algeria and in the Crimean War of 1853-1856; returning from Crimea he was made a Marshal of France and a Senator. Biography Bosquet was born in Mont-de-Marsan, Landes; he entered the artillery in 1833 and a year later went to Algeria. Here he soon made himself remarkable not only for technical skill but the moral qualities indispensable for high command. Becoming captain in 1839, he greatly distinguished himself at the actions of Sidi-Lakhdar and Oued-Melah. He was soon given the command of a battalion of native tirailleurs, and in 1843 was thanked in general orders for his brilliant work against the Flittahs.
