Bosnia And Herzegovina In The Eurovision Song Contest 2002
Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song "Na jastuku za dvoje" written by Dragan Mijatović and Ružica Čavić. The song was performed by Maja Tatić. The Bosnian broadcaster Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PBSBiH) organised the national final ''BH Eurosong 2002'' in order to select the Bosnian entry for 2002 contest in Tallinn, Estonia. Sixteen entries participated during the show on 23 February 2002 where the winner was determined over two rounds of voting. The top four entries in the first round selected by an eight-member jury advanced to the second round, during which "Na jastuku za dvoje" performed by Maja Tatić was selected as the winner. Bosnia and Herzegovina competed in the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 25 May 2002. Maja Tatić
Maja Tatić ( sr-cyr, Маја Татић) (born 30 October 1970 in Belgrade, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian Bosnian singer. She represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest. At the age of seven, she appeared in a children's contest and started her professional career as a singer when she was 17. Tatić sang in bands such as Monaco, Sonus, and Skitnice. In 1992, Tatić went to the Canary Islands, where she entertained the people with her renditions of songs by ABBA, Tina Turner and Shania Twain. She performed there for eight years. In 2002, Tatić was chosen to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest with a song "Na jastuku za dvoje" and took joint 13th place. The Eurovision Song Contest 2001 was the 46th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, following the country's victory at the with the song " Fly on the Wings of Love" by Olsen Brothers. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Danmarks Radio (DR), the contest was held at the Parken Stadium on 12 May 2001. The contest was presented by Danish television presenter Natasja Crone Back and actor Søren Pilmark. Twenty-three countries took part in the contest. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, and Slovenia returned after their relegation from the previous edition. Aldin Kurić (born 21 July 1970), known by his stage name Al'Dino, is a Bosnian singer, songwriter and composer. Biography Aldin Kurić was born in Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina which was then a part of SFR Yugoslavia, where he enrolled in elementary music school, Department of harmonics, simultaneously playing the piano and guitar. To this day he remains a multi-instrumentalist. At the age of sixteen he randomly got a tape of jazz fusion band Weather Report and decided to start learning bass guitar. Selma Silajdžić ( Muhedinović; born 6 June 1972) is a Bosnian former pop singer, famous in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Milić Vukašinović ( sr-cyr, Милић Вукашиновић; born 9 March 1950) is a Yugoslav musician, the founder of the hard rock band Vatreni Poljubac as well as one-time drummer of the famous Yugoslav rock bands Bijelo Dugme and Indexi. Mladen Vojičić (; born 17 October 1960), known professionally by his nickname/stagename Tifa (), is a Bosnian rock vocalist. He gained acclaim throughout former Yugoslavia for his brief stint as the lead singer of Bijelo Dugme in the mid-1980s.
