Bosnia And Herzegovina At The Paralympics
Bosnia and Herzegovina, having become independent from the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1992, made its Paralympic Games début at the 1996 Summer Paralympics in Atlanta, with merely two athletes competing in men's track and field. The country has competed in every edition of the Summer Paralympics since then, and made its Winter Paralympics début at the 2010 Winter Paralympics in Vancouver, with a single representative in alpine skiing. Bosnia and Herzegovina has won six Paralympic medals, all in men's sitting volleyball: silvers in 2000, 2008 and in 2016, two golds in 2004 and 2012 and one bronze in 2020.Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Paralympics

Volleyball at the 2012 Summer Paralympics was held from 30 August to 8 September at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London. Two sitting volleyball team events were held, one for men and one for women. In the men's sitting event, Iran were the defending champions. Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iran were the finalists in 2000, 2004 and 2008, with Iran winning in 2000 and 2008 and Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2004. These two countries met once more in the final in Beijing, with Iran emerging victorious by 3–0. Egypt finished fourth in Beijing, beaten 2–3 by Russia, who took bronze. Bosnia and Herzegovina's men's team won the gold in 2012, beating Iran 3-1, although Iran had also won by 3-1 against them in the group stage. Egyptian athletes won six gold medals, twelve silver and ten bronze, enabling their country to finish 23rd out of 123 on the medal table. Athletics and powerlifting were equally successful, with each sport giving 3 gold medals each to Egypt. Background The Egyptian team included 45 sportspeople, 12 women and 33 men.
