Poshtova Square
Poshtova Square ( uk, Поштова площа, translit.: ''Poshtova Ploshcha'', literally: ''Postal Square'') in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is one of the oldest historic squares of the city. Archaeological findings are dated back to the 4th century. A crossing of several historic streets such as Saint Volodymyr Descent, Borychiv Descent and Sahaydachny Street, the square is located at the Dnipro riverfront right next to the Kyiv River Port. The square received its name from Podil post station that was opened there in 1846. The Tale Of Igor's Campaign
''The Tale of Igor's Campaign'' ( orv, Слово о пълкѹ Игоревѣ, translit=Slovo o pŭlku Igorevě) is an anonymous epic poem written in the Old East Slavic language. The title is occasionally translated as ''The Tale of the Campaign of Igor'', ''The Song of Igor's Campaign'', ''The Lay of Igor's Campaign'', ''The Lay of the Host of Igor'', and ''The Lay of the Warfare Waged by Igor''. The poem gives an account of a failed raid of Igor Svyatoslavich (d. 1202) against the Polovtsians of the Don River region. While some have disputed the authenticity of the poem, the current scholarly consensus is that the poem is authentic and dates to the Middle Ages (late 12th century). Andriyivskyy Descent
Andrew's Descent ( uk, Андріївський узвіз, ) is a historic descent connecting Kyiv's Upper Town neighborhood and the historically commercial Podil neighborhood. The street, often advertised by tour guides and operators as the "Montmartre of Kyiv", is a major tourist attraction of the city. It is included in the list of national landmarks by the government resolution. In addition, the street is also part of the Kyiv city historic reserve " Ancient Kyiv", while the St.Andrew's Church belongs to the National historic reserve " Sophia of Kyiv". The descent, in length, is constructed of laid cobblestones and connects Old Kyiv (Upper city) with Podil (Lower city).
