Borstahusens BK
Borstahusens BK is a Sweden, Swedish association football, football club located in Borstahusen, Landskrona. Background The club was founded on 20 January 1922 at a meeting at Borstahusen. By the 1930s the club used the name Borstahusens BK and Borstahusens IF but in the 1960s the title IK Atleten was used. In 1969 the club played at its highest level in Division 2 Södra Götaland, which at that time was the second tier of Swedish football. Following relegation at the end of the 1969 season the club changed their name back to Borstahusens BK. Borstahusens BK currently plays in Swedish football Division 4, Division 4 Skåne Nordvästra which is the sixth tier of Swedish football league system, Swedish football. They play their home matches at the Ulkavallen IP in Landskrona. The former Landskrona BoIS, AFC Ajax, and Sweden national youth football team, Sweden youth international Måns Sörensson spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons with the club. Landskrona
Landskrona (old da, Landskrone) is a town in Scania, Sweden. Located on the shores of the Öresund, it occupies a natural port, which has lent the town at first military and subsequent commercial significance. Ferries operate from Landskrona to the island of Ven, and for many years there was also a connection to Copenhagen. Landskrona is part of the Øresund region. It is the seat of Landskrona Municipality. Landskrona is also the name of a district in Landskrona Municipality which is slightly smaller than the urban area. History The city of Landskrona is usually claimed to have been founded in 1413 by the King of Denmark, Eric of Pomerania, as a trading city intended to compete with Danish towns under the control of the Hanseatic League. There is however evidence found in the Danish National Archive, which mention the town by the name "Landzcrone" already in 1405.
