"Born to Be My Baby" is a song by American rock band Bon Jovi. It was written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, and Desmond Child. It was released on November 24, 1988 as the second single from their fourth studio album ''New Jersey''. It peaked the following year at number 2 on the ''Cash Box''Top 100, 3 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 , number 7 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, number 22 in the UK, and number 30 in Australia. '' Cash Box'' considered the song to be Jon Bon Jovi paying respect to Bruce Springsteen. ''Cash Box'' ranked it as the #22 pop single of 1989. Bon Jovi is an American Rock music, rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey. It consists of singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarist Phil X, and bassist Hugh McDonald (American musician), Hugh McDonald. Original bassist Alec John Such, Alec John such quit the band in 1994. Sadly, he passed away in June, 2022 due to natural causes at the age of 70. The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' EPOS systems. All major record shops, digital retailers and streaming services contribute to the chart, accounting for over 95% of the market.
