Mike Borkowski
Michael John Borkowski (born May 6, 1973) is an American race car driver. Borkowski has raced in a variety of cars and series, is experienced in both road and oval racing, but is best known for his victory over Tommy Kendall in the 1997 Trans-Am Series race at Pikes Peak International Raceway, ending Kendall's historic run of 11 consecutive race wins. Borkowski also went on to win the final race of the 1997 Trans-Am Series at the Reno Grand Prix. Early career Borkowski grew up in the small town of Middlebury, Connecticut and began racing Quarter Midgets at the Silver City Quarter Midget Club in Meriden, Connecticut - the same club as race car drivers Jeff Simmons, Erin Crocker, Joey Logano, and renowned Indycar engineer Chris Simmons. Mark Borkowski
Mark Borkowski (born 1959 in Stroud, Gloucestershire) is a British PR agent and author with an interest in the history of public relations and the art of the publicity stunt. He attended King's Stanley Junior School and St Peters High School in Gloucester and began working in public relations at nineteen years old. As founder and head of Borkowski PR, he is a well-known tv pundit, lecturer and speaker on the art of publicity. Borkowski has a column in ''The Guardian'' and has written two books on publicity stunts as related to public relations and has won several awards for his work. Career Borkowski's first job was as the in-house publicist at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon promoting touring productions and producing poetry and rock events. Bob Borkowski
Robert Vilarian Borkowski (January 27, 1926 – November 18, 2017) was an outfielder in Major League Baseball who played from 1950 to 1955 with the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and Brooklyn Dodgers. Listed at 6' 0" , 182 lb. , Borkowski batted and threw right-handed. He was born and died in Dayton, Ohio. Borkowski originally signed with the Cubs as a pitcher in 1946. In his first professional season, he posted an 18–9 record with a 3.46 ERA in the Class-D Appalachian League. He also played nearly 100 games in the outfield and hit a .384 batting average in 104 games. Borkowski was then converted into a full-time outfielder. In 1949, Borkowski batted .376 with the Nashville Vols to win the Double-A Southern Association batting title, gaining a promotion to the Cubs the following season. Tomasz Borkowski (born 30 November 1972) is a Polish footballing coach who previously played for and was manager of Lechia Gdańsk. He is the current manager of AP Orlen Gdańsk. Shek Borkowski
Shek Borkowski (born 30 January 1963) is a Polish women's association football manager who is currently the head coach of Puerto Rico Sol. He last managed the Puerto Rico women's national football team from 2017 to 2018. He was also the manager of Haiti from 2012 to 2017. Known primarily for his prominence within women's soccer, Borkowski has won 7 league titles and 2 cups in 3 countries. He is the only Polish manager who won domestic titles in three different countries. He is most notable for his success with FC Indiana where he won two WPSL titles and two US Open Cup titles. Borkowski was named the 2005 WPSL National Coach of the Year and received the 2008 Field Turf W-League Coach of the Year award. Alfons Dunin-Borkowski
Alfons Dunin-Borkowski (born 19th-century in Planta, died 1938 in Raśniki) was a Polish painter, son of Mikołaj Dunin-Borkowski and Julianna Gromadzińska. Between 1876 and 1879, the painter completed his art studies at the School of Arts in Warsaw under Wojciech Gerson and Aleksander Kamiński as well as under Władysław Łuszczkiewicz and Leopold Loeffler between 1879 and 1887 at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Afterwards, Alfons took part in Jan Matejko's compositional classes. In 1888, he returned to his family settlement. In 1898, the artist moved to his wife's property in the Vilnius Region.
