Boris Zapryagaev
Boris Leonidovich Zapryagaev (russian: Борис Леонидович Запрягаев; 28 February 1922 – 20 April 2000) was a Russian ice hockey goaltender. Initially playing bandy, Zapryagaev later competed in ice hockey for Krylya Sovetov Moscow from 1947 to 1961, playing about 270 games for them in the Soviet Championship League. He received the title of Merited Master of Sports of the USSR in ice hockey in 1954, and won the national championship in 1956-57. He later served as a coach for Krylya. Goaltender (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. The goaltender mostly plays in or near the area in front of the net called the ''Ice hockey rink#Crease, goal crease'' (often referred to simply as '' the crease''). Goaltenders tend to stay at or beyond the top of the crease to cut down on the angle of shots. In the modern age of goaltending there are two common styles, butterfly and hybrid (hybrid is a mix of the traditional stand-up style and butterfly technique).
