Boris Miletić
Boris Miletić (; born 2 September 1975) is a Croatian economist and politician who has been List of prefects of Istria County, prefect of Istria County since 2021 and president of the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS) from 2014 to 2021. Miletić did his undergraduate studies at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Pula Faculty of Economics and Tourism "Dr. Mijo Mirković" in 1999, and would return to get his master's degree in 2002. He has also pursued further education at the Cleveland State University as well as the Faculty of Economics in Split, Croatia, Split and Zagreb. From 2000 to 2006 Miletić served in various civil service positions in Istria County, including an internship with the Department for the Economy (2000–2001) and with the Istrian Development Agency (2001–2006), where he would eventually become CEO. 2017 Croatian Local Elections
The first round of the 2017 Croatian local elections was held on 21 May and the second round, where necessary, on 4 June. All seats of the county prefects, city and municipal mayors and members of county, municipal and city councils were up for election. In total, there were 9,576 open seats contested by 47,601 candidates. Voters were electing: 20 county prefects, 128 city mayors, 428 municipal mayors, 51 deputy county prefects, 195 deputy city mayors, 440 deputy municipal mayors, 63 deputy city and municipal mayors elected by the national minorities, 836 county councilors, 2,226 city councilors and 5,152 municipal councilors. 3,719,182 voters had the right to vote, which was 39,500 fewer than at the previous local elections. 2021 Croatian Local Elections
The first round of the 2021 Croatian local elections were held on 16 May and the second round, where necessary, on 30 May. All seats of the county prefects, city and municipal mayors and members of county, municipal and city councils were up for election. In total, there were 8,216 open seats to be contested by 38,223 candidates. People's Coalition (Croatia)
The Restart Coalition ( hr, Restart koalicija) is a centre-left political alliance in Croatia. The coalition was formed in 2010 as the Kukuriku Coalition (''Kukuriku koalicija''). This somewhat facetious name meaning 'cock-a-doodle-doo', taken from a restaurant of the same name in Kastav where the coalition leaders first convened in July 2009, became well known and was eventually taken as the coalition's official name. Croatian Parliament
The Croatian Parliament ( hr, Hrvatski sabor) or the Sabor is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of Croatia. Under the terms of the Croatian Constitution, the Sabor represents the people and is vested with legislative power.
