Borens IK
Borens IK is a Swedish football club located in Motala in Östergötland County. Background Borens Idrottsklubb were founded on 25 May 1932 by men who previously played for other Motala football clubs. Arvid Lindgren became the club's first chairman and other members of the committee were Edvard Elf, Tage Kihlström, Helmer Törnqvist and Bengt Rundgren. The club currently has around 900 members. Their greatest victory was on 21 October 1933 when they defeated Hästholmen 22–0. Their heaviest defeat was in the 1944–45 season when they went down 1–11 to BK Kenty. Since their foundation Borens IK has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club currently plays in Division 3 Nordöstra Götaland which is the fifth tier of Swedish football. They play their home matches at the Borens IP in Motala. Motala
Motala () is a locality and the seat of Motala Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden with 29,823 inhabitants (41,956 in the entire municipality) in 2010. It is the third largest city of Östergötland, following Linköping and Norrköping. Motala is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Vättern and is regarded as the main centre of both the Göta Canal and the surrounding lake region. History Motala Church dates from the 13th century. Division 3 is the fifth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 144 Swedish football teams. Division 3 had status as the official third level from 1928 to 1986, but was replaced by Division 2 in 1987. It then had status as the official fourth level until 2005, but was replaced once again as Division 1 was recreated in 2006. The competition There are 144 clubs in Division 3, divided in 12 groups of 12 teams each representing a geographical area. BK Kenty
BK Kenty is a Swedish sports club located in Linköping. Background Bollklubben Kenty was formed on 10 April 1932 by John Schön, Gösta Dahlqvist, Enar Johansson and Folke Dättermark â€“ all teenagers. The Kenty name has its origins in kid's interest at that time in reading Cowboy and Indian books. A few letters in the name Kentucky were changed and hence the name Kenty was born. Initially the club operated as a youth club before men's and boys' football became the club's main activity. In 1968 BK Kenty women's football was added. Other sports that the club ran included ice hockey, bandy, tennis, bowling and handball before these sections were transferred to other clubs.
