In conventional usage, boredom, ennui, or tedium is an emotional and occasionally psychological state experienced when an individual is left without anything in particular to do, is listlessness and dissatisfaction arising from a lack of occupation or excitement, is not interested in their surroundings, or feels that a day or period is dull or tedious. Francisco Bores
Francisco Bores (Madrid, May 6, 1898 - Paris, May 10, 1972) was an important figure of twentieth-century European art. His presence was fundamental in the second wave of Spanish artists who arrived in Paris in the 1920s, in which he included Pablo Picasso, Ginés Parra, Pedro Flores, Antoni Clavé; although in his own country he was not really recognized until well into the 1970s when aspects of Art that did not fit in with the dominant informalism and social realism were finally valued. The style of Bores was forged following his close contact with the greatest painters of the first Vanguard: Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. He admired his manner of constructing forms, his classicism, and later his cubist explosion. Bores harmonizes both of these influences in his work, and goes beyond them. Boers ( ; af, Boere ()) are the descendants of the Dutch-speaking Free Burghers of the eastern Cape Colony, Cape frontier in Southern Africa during the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. In meteorology, an undular bore is a wave disturbance in the Earth's atmosphere and can be seen through unique cloud formations. They normally occur within an area of the atmosphere which is stable in the low levels after an outflow boundary or a cold front moves through. In hydraulics, an undular bore is a gentle bore with an undular hydraulic jump pattern at the downstream ( subcritical) side. The Phoney War (french: Drôle de guerre; german: Sitzkrieg) was an eight-month period at the start of World War II, during which there was only one limited military land operation on the Western Front, when French troops invaded Germany's Saar district. Nazi Germany carried out the invasion of Poland on 1 September 1939; the Phoney period began with the declaration of war by the United Kingdom and France against Nazi Germany on 3 September 1939, after which little actual warfare occurred, and ended with the German invasion of France and the Low Countries on 10 May 1940. ''Deneb'' was a cargo ship that was built in 1923 as ''Rhenania'' by Nüscke & Co, Stettin for German owners. She was sold in 1924 and renamed ''Marth Halm'' In 1927, she was sold to Finnish owners and renamed ''Bore VII''. She ran aground in 1936 and was declared a total loss. In 1937, she was sold to Germany, repaired and renamed ''Götaälv''. In 1938 she was sold and renamed ''Bernhard Schulte''. In 1941, she sank off the Lofoten Islands but was salvaged and repaired.
