"Borderline" is a song by British producer Michael Gray featuring Shelly Poole of Alisha's Attic. It was released in August 2006 as Gray's second single. While "Borderline" failed to match the success of its predecessor, " The Weekend", it entered the top 50 on various record charts, including those of Australia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Content The song contains a sample replay of Chapter 8's 1979 R&B hit "Ready for Your Love". Music video The music video does not include Michael Gray or Shelly Poole. Michael Anthony Gray (born 25 July 1966), better known as Michael Gray, is a British DJ and house music producer. He is also half of the dance music production and remixing duo Full Intention. Biography Michael Gray created a megamix entitled "The Brits 1990 (Dance Medley)" for that year's awards ceremony which peaked at #2 in the UK Singles Chart. In 2004, he began issuing records under his own name, the first being " The Weekend", a worldwide hit in late that year. It peaked at #7 in the UK Singles Chart when licensed through UMTV on Eye Industries, and also notched up over 20,000 plays on the radio. In the United States, "The Weekend" was a Top 10 hit on ''Billboard's'' Hot Dance Airplay chart in 2005, where it was released on Ultra Records. Lee "Muddy" Baker (born 16 November 1969) is a UK-based singer-songwriter, producer, performer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. Luciana Caporaso (born 23 June 1973), simply known as Luciana, is a British singer. She is of English and Italian heritage.
