''Booger Bear'' was an album released by The Buddy Miles Express in 1973. It was released in both stereo and quadraphonic formats. It made the ''Billboard'' charts in 1974. Background The album received a positive review in the November 23, 1973 issue of ''Billboard''. The reviewer referred to it as a production of the first order with time and care being put into the selections. The songs "Why" and "United Nations Stomp", both composed by Miles were singled out as solid entries. The album was also released in the Quadraphonic SQ Matrix. The Buddy Miles Express
The Buddy Miles Express was a musical group fronted by American drummer/vocalist Buddy Miles. It was formed after the 1968 breakup of Miles's earlier group Electric Flag. They released four albums. Background 1968 The Buddy Miles Express was formed after the Electric Flag, of which Miles was a member, broke up in 1968. The group also contained four other former Electric Flag members. ''Billboard'' announced in its October 12 issue that the group had signed to Mercury Records and was to record under the direction of Lou Reizner, the head of Mercury's London operation. "You Really Got Me" is a song written by Ray Davies for English rock band the Kinks. The song, originally performed in a more blues-oriented style, was inspired by artists such as Lead Belly and Big Bill Broonzy.
