Bonnie Langford
Bonita Melody Lysette "Bonnie" Langford (born 22 July 1964) is an English actress, dancer and singer. She came to prominence as a child star in the 1970s, when she had a notable role in the TV series ''Just William''. In the 1980s, she played companion Mel Bush in ''Doctor Who''. She has also been known for appearing in various musicals in the West End and on Broadway, including shows such as '' Peter Pan'', ''Cats'', ''The Pirates of Penzance'' and '' Chicago''. From 2015 to 2018, she portrayed the role of Carmel Kazemi on the BBC soap opera '' EastEnders'', for which she received the 2016 British Soap Award for Best Newcomer. St Catherine's School, Twickenham
St Catherine's School is a Catholic independent school for girls in Twickenham, London. The school is next to the River Thames and about from both Strawberry Hill and Twickenham railway stations. History Founded in a large house near Twickenham Green, St Catherine's then moved to Orford Lodge (now demolished) and in 1919 to Pope's Villa, on the site of Alexander Pope's original villa. By 1961 it was recognised by the Ministry of Education as a grammar school. In 1948 the school bought a house on Cross Deep known as ''The Lawn'', where it is currently located. Up until 1991 the school was home to a number of Sisters who were also members of the staff. They moved out and the school became a charitable trust managed by lay persons in 1992. Neil Reid (born 1959) is a Scottish former child singing star, winner of ITV's '' Opportunity Knocks,'' and the youngest person to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart. Career Known also as "Wee Neil Reid", he was eight when he was discovered singing at a pensioners' party in 1968. Reid won ''Opportunity Knocks'' on 13 December 1971 singing his version of " Mother of Mine", which, when released commercially by Decca Records shortly afterwards, went to number two on the UK Singles Chart following a performance on ''Top of the Pops.'' The "Mother of Mine" record sold over 250,000 copies in the United Kingdom, and over 2.5 million globally. It also sold around 400,000 copies in Japan alone. Lena Zavaroni
Lena Hilda Zavaroni (4 November 1963 – 1 October 1999) was a Scottish singer and a television show host. At ten years of age, with her album ''Ma! (He's Making Eyes at Me)'', she was the youngest person in history to have an album in the top ten of the UK Albums Chart. Later she starred in her own television series, made numerous TV guest star appearances, and appeared on stage. From the age of thirteen, Zavaroni suffered anorexia nervosa and also developed clinical depression when she was fifteen. Following an operation to cure her depression, Zavaroni died at the age of thirty-five from pneumonia on 1 October 1999.
