Bongo Boy Records is an American record label founded in 2010 by songwriter Gar Francis and Dutch entrepreneur Monique Grimme. History Founded in 2010. The label represents all genres and specializes in garage rock, rock and blues and Compilation albums. In 2011 Bongo Boy Records started a syndicated television show on NBC Comcast and 9 other major cable companies called 'The Bongo Boy Rock n’ Roll TV Show Series'. In 2014 the TV show series changed it to the old MTV format with featuring music videos from around the world. In 2015 the TV show series was picked up by Galaxy Global Network, Dish and ROKU. In 2016 a non exclusive distribution deal was signed with Captiva Entertainment Group out of Texas. The TV show series is also available On Demand with Vimeo. Mark Lindsay
Mark Lindsay (born March 9, 1942) is an American musician, best known as the lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders. Early life Lindsay was born in Eugene, Oregon, and was the second of eight children of George and Esther Ellis Lindsay. The family moved to Idaho when he was young, where he attended Wilder High School. Career Lindsay began performing at age 15 with local bands that played local venues. He was tapped to sing in a band, Freddy Chapman and the Idaho Playboys, after he won a local talent contest. After Chapman left the area, Lindsay saw the other band members and a new member, Paul Revere Dick, playing at a local I.O.O.F. Hall. He persuaded the band to allow him to sing a few songs with them. Gar Francis is an American singer-songwriter. Biography Gar Francis grew up in North Plainfield, New Jersey in the early sixties. Francis started playing the guitar at an early age, By the 1970s, he formed a New Jersey base band called ''The Rockids'', who were regulars at CBGB's and Max's Kansas City in Manahattan, NY. In the 1980s Francis wrote a song called ''"Baby, It's You"'' for the band Ricochet. Francis also did session work as a guitar player on Billy Idol's recorded version of ''"Mony, Mony"''. Francis joined Sticky Fingers, a Rolling Stones Tribute band. In 2005, Francis began writing and playing guitar for the 60s garage rock band The Doughboys (New Jersey) on their album called "Is It Now?" Kenny Aaronson (born April 14, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American bass guitar player. He has recorded or performed with several notable artists such as Bob Dylan, Rick Derringer, Billy Idol, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Foghat, Sammy Hagar, Billy Squier, New York Dolls, and Hall and Oates. Paul Revere & the Raiders (also known as Raiders) were an American rock band formed in Boise, Idaho, in 1958. They saw considerable U.S. mainstream success in the second half of the 1960s and early 1970s. The band was known for including Revolutionary War-style clothes in their attire. The Doughboys (New Jersey Band)
The Doughboys are an American rock band from Plainfield, New Jersey, United States, who were active in the mid-1960s, and re-formed in 2000. They have been active ever since, and have cut three albums of newly recorded material since their reunion. History 1960s The band originally formed when three members of the Ascots, Richard X. Heyman (drums), Mike Caruso (bass), and Willy Kirchofer (guitar) were joined by two members of the Apollos, Myke Scavone (vocals, harp), and Mike Farina (guitar).
