Nadine Bommer (born 1968 in New York City, New York) is an American-Israeli contemporary dance choreographer, teacher, and artistic director. She is the founder and artistic director of the internationally renowned Nadine Bommer Dance Company. Early life and training Born in New York City, Nadine Bommer spent most of her childhood in Rishon LeZion, Israel. During her childhood, she began creating dance productions and shows. Following her amateur productions for family, friends, and neighbors, Bommer was invited to head the student production at her school when she was 11 years old, and then again in junior high and high school. She received a scholarship from the mayor for her work as a child choreographer/director, and was invited to teach dance to a local group of students following the show produced in her junior year of high school. Rudolf Bommer
Rudolf "Rudi" Bommer (born 19 August 1957) is a German former footballer, who played as a midfielder, and current football manager. Playing career Born in Aschaffenburg, Bommer played 417 games between 1976 and 1996 for Fortuna Düsseldorf, Bayer Uerdingen and Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. Bommer scored 54 goals in the German top flight. He played for West Germany at the Euro 84 in France. Coaching career Bommer started his coaching career with the reserve team of Eintracht Frankfurt between July 1994 and August 1995. After stops at VfR Mannheim where he was head coach between July 1997 and April 1998. Bommer then moved on to Viktoria Aschaffenburg where he was head coach from July 1998 to June 2000. Elise Caroline Bommer (calling name: Elisa) née Destrée (20 January 1832 in Laeken – 17 January 1910 in Brussels), was a Belgian botanist specialising in mycology, and was the wife of pteridologist and collector Jean-Édouard Bommer (1829-1895), who was professor of botany at Free University of Brussels (1834–1969), University of Brussels in 1872. Biography Youth and marriage In Elisa's youth her father was employed at the Castle of Laeken, Royal Castle of Laeken (the official residence of Belgian King), giving her the opportunity to explore the large grounds and park. A palace governess tutored her but when ten years old she was sent to a boarding school at nearby Vilvoorde, where she rued her loss of freedom, but finally adjusted to the new discipline and developed her talent for music. Alois and Anna Bommer were a German couple who faced a military tribunal at Metz along with their three daughters after World War II. The family was accused of pillage, having taken French property into Germany. Their daughter Elfriede was under 16 at the time of the offences, and thus the tribunals had only the choices of a "reprimand" or "committal of the accused...to his parent's care" with a notice of conviction, and chose the former.
