Bombon, officially the Municipality of Bombon ( bcl, Banwaan kan Bombon; tl, Bayan ng Bombon), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 17,995 people. History Like any other municipalities in the province, the town of Bombon also started as a mere barrio or "visita". It was dependent on the town of the ancient Quipayo for nearly 240 years, now a mere barangay of Calabanga town. It finally gained its independence during the arrival of the Americans on February 11, 1900. This taste of freedom was, however, momentary for after the establishment of the Civil Government occurred in the Philippines in the year 1903, Bombon was ceded to the municipality of Calabanga . The municipality of Bombon also became a barrio of Magarao, now another town in the second district. Bombon (movie)
''El perro'' (English: ''Bombón: El Perro'' and ''Bombón: The Dog'') is a 2004 Argentine-Spanish drama film, directed by Carlos Sorín, and written by Sorín, Santiago Calori, and Salvador Roselli. The picture features Juan Villegas and Walter Donado, among others. The film was partly funded by INCAA. ''El perro'' is a neo-realist fable about a man and a dog, the titular Bombón. Set in Patagonia, an unemployed man has his luck change after being given a Dogo Argentino dog for helping a stranded woman on the highway. Plot Coco (Juan Villegas), the main character, is first seen trying to sell knives to a group of oil workers. He is a skilled craftsman, but the knives are too expensive for them. In fact, throughout the entire film, he never manages to sell a single knife, but he ends up giving two away: one to a security guard as a bribe, and one to a cabaret singer he meets on his journey. Spanish pop band formed by Juan Azagra (Juano) vocals and guitar, Francisco Barroso (Francis) guitar, Isidro Lucuix bass, Carlos Moreno keyboard and synthesizers and Miguel Ángel Campos (Goyo) drums. History Bombones was born in Seville, (Spain), in early 2000s, where due to the love of the music that characterize both Juano and Goyo (working in a record store), they decided to join with Francis and Eduardo "Pollito" (former bass player) to play unusual power-pop covers, like Matthew Sweet, Velvet Crush or Redd Kross. Gradually, the own compositions began to take prominence in their set list. This concluded with the recording of a demo in 2002 at the Central Studio in Seville. The title that labels this first work was “Mary Jane EP”.
