Buddy Bolding
Buddy Bolding is a former American coach of the Longwood Lancers baseball team, a member of the NCAA Division I Big South Conference. Longwood's home baseball venue, Bolding Stadium, is named after him. Playing career Bolding played college baseball under Sam Holt and Bobby Wilson at Carson–Newman College in Tennessee. After serving as a United States Army Combat Medic in Vietnam, he played in the minor leagues for the Twins. He also ran Track & Field at Milligan College for renowned Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame coach Duard B. Walker. Milligan College inducted Bolding into its Athletics Hall of Fame for his multi-event Track and Field exploits while a Buffalo, where he set school records in the 440, pole vault, discus, and javelin. His 1972 47.6 second 440 time at the Davidson Relays still stands. Coaching career Bolding was the head coach of Longwood from 1978 until his retirement in 2013. Cees Bolding
Cornelis "Cees" Bolding (7 January 1897 – 1 November 1979) was a Dutch painter. He attended (National School for Applied Arts Amsterdam) and the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten. He taught at (National Normal School for Drawing Teachers). His work was part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1928 Summer Olympics. Jim Bolding
James Doyle Bolding, II (November 3, 1949 – July 31, 2011) was an American track and field athlete, primarily known for the 400 metres hurdles. He was the current world record holder in the now rarely run 440-yard hurdles, the predecessor to the current 400 metre hurdles (the 440 yard event is 2.336m, or seven feet eight inches, longer in distance). Over the more conventional 400 hurdles, Bolding was ranked in the top ten in the world 5 times from 1972 to 1976, achieving the #1 ranking in 1974 and trailing only the reigning Olympic champion and world record holder John Akii-Bua. In 1974 he was named United States Olympic Committee "Male Athlete of the Year." Biography Bolding was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a 1968 graduate of U. S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City. Morgan Bolding
Morgan Bolding (born 13 May 1995) is a British representative rower. He is a two-time world champion. Career Bolding was educated at Heathside School. His senior club rowing has been from the Oxford Brookes University Boat Club. Bolding was first selected for Great Britain representative honours for the 2013 Junior World Rowing Championships in Lithuania into the GB junior men's eight. They had a fourth placed finish. He next made two appearances in the U23 British eight for the 2015 and 2017 U23 World Rowing Championships. The 2017 crew won a bronze medal. 2019 saw Bolding selected in the Great Britain senior men's squad. He raced in the men's pair that season and his best result was a sixth placed finished at the World Rowing Cup III in Rotterdam. Reginald Bolding is an American politician and a former Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 27 from 2015 to 2023. Career Bolding graduated from the University of Cincinnati, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and International Security. Bolding Stadium
Charles "Buddy" Bolding Stadium is a baseball venue in Farmville, Virginia, United States. It is home to the Longwood Lancers baseball team, a member of the Big South Conference. Opened in 1994, the venue has a capacity of 500. It is named for Buddy Bolding, who was the first head coach of the Lancers' baseball team, who served for 35 seasons from 1978 until his retirement after the 2013 season. Features of the stadium include a recessed dugouts, a press box, batting cages, and irrigation. History Construction completed in 1993 and the stadium was dedicated October 5 of that year. The facility's first game, March 12, 1994, saw Longwood best Davis & Elkins College 8-3. In 1996 and 1997, the stadium hosted the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament.
