Mount Bolanos is a south-west peak in the United States territory of Guam. Rising to above sea level, it is the 3rd highest peak in Guam (after Mount Lamlam and Mount Jumullong Manglo, and before Mount Almagosa). Nearby are located the Bolanos Conservation Reserve (0.4 km) and the Bolanos River (1.6 km). The closest populated places are the villages of Umatac (4.5 km) and Agat (9 km). Farther to the north is the capital Hagåtña (25 km). Bolaños River
The Bolaños River is a river in Mexico flowing through the Sierra Madre Occidental, and a tributary of Rio Grande de Santiago. It has a length of 360 km and a watershed of about 10 000 square kilometers. Geography The river's origin is in the state of Zacatecas, about 60 km west of the city of Fresnillo, about 40 km south of Tropic of Cancer. It flows south between the Sierra los Huicholes on the west and the Sierra de Morones on the east. It enters the state of Jalisco some 85 km later, eventually draining into the Lerma Santiago River, approximately 40 km northwest of the city of Tequila. The last 32 km of the river form the boundary between the states of Jalisco and Nayarit. Bolaños Municipality
Bolaños Municipality is located in the north of the Mexican state of Jalisco. The municipality shares its border on the north with the municipalities of Mezquitic and Villa Guerrero and to the southeast with the municipality of Chimaltitán. To the south, it shares a border with the municipality of San Martín de Bolaños and to the southwest, it shares a border with the state of Nayarit. Climate Bolaños is surrounded with mountains and semi-desert and due to its topographical position in the canyon, Bolaños is often very hot. Bolaños is frequently one of the hottest spots in Mexico during the summer months, April–June with maximum temperature as high as 55 Celsius and in nighttime it can drop to only 7 Celsius.
