Bojan Pečar
Bojan Pečar (Serbian Cyrillic: Бојан Печар) (22 March 1960, in Belgrade – 13 October 1998, in London) was a SFRY, Yugoslav and Serbian musician, best known as Bassist, bass player of the cult band, cult Yugoslav rock band Ekatarina Velika. Previously he was a member of the New wave music, new wave group VIA Talas, who were featured on the New wave music in Yugoslavia, Yugoslav new wave compilation album ''Artistička radna akcija''. He died on 13 October 1998 in London, England, officially of a heart attack, and was buried in Progar, outside Belgrade, Serbia. He is one of many from the former Yugoslavia (like Vladimir Cvitan, Hrvoje Horvatic, and Breda Beban) who died at a young age in London, but the cause of those deaths remains a mystery. A bassist (also known as a bass player or bass guitarist) is a musician who plays a Bass (instrument), bass instrument such as a double bass (upright bass, contrabass, wood bass), bass guitar (electric bass, acoustic bass), synthbass, keyboard bass or a low brass instrument such as a tuba or trombone. Serbian rock is the rock music scene of Serbia. During the 1960s, 1970s and the 1980s, while Serbia was a constituent republic of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Serbian rock scene was a part of the SFR Yugoslav rock scene. ''Samo par godina za nas'' ( en, Only a Few Years Left for Us) is the fifth studio album by the Serbian rock band Ekatarina Velika, released in 1989. ''Ljubav'' ( en, Love) is the fourth studio album by the Serbian rock band Ekatarina Velika, released in 1987. The new band member, replacing Ivan "Raka" Ranković on drums, was Srđan "Žika" Todorović (ex Radnička kontrola, Bezobrazno zeleno, Disciplina kičme). It was their first album released for the Serbian label PGP RTB, and also the first EKV album produced by the Australian musician Theodore Yanni. ''S vetrom uz lice'' ( en, With The Wind Against Our Faces) is the third studio album by the Serbian rock band Ekatarina Velika, released in 1986. With this album Ekatarina Velika reached a wider audience, and it is considered to be the commercial breakthrough for the band. The new drummer, replacing Ivan "Firchie" Fece, was Ivan "Raka" Ranković (ex. Tvrdo srce i velike uši). ''Perfektan dan za banana ribe'' (trans. '' A Perfect Day for Bananafish'') is the first and the only album by the Serbian rock band Talas. The album was printed in 3000 copies, and is available on LP only, since the album has not been reissued on CD. Background Having released their two songs on the '' Artistička radna akcija'' compilation, the band started preparing their debut release. The album was recorded in the MS Studio in Belgrade and was produced by Bojan Pečar and Boban Petrović. ''Perfektan dan za banana ribe'' (which got the name by the J.D. Salinger's short-story '' A Perfect Day for Bananafish'') was released in 1983 by Sarajevo Disk. The album featured eight song with the opening track, "Sama" ("Alone") became a nationwide hit and appeared on the Svetislav Prelić's ''Šećerna vodica'' movie soundtrack. Progar ( sr-cyr, Прогар) is a List of Belgrade neighborhoods, suburban neighborhood of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Surčin.
