Bogie
A bogie ( ) (in some senses called a truck in North American English) is a chassis or framework that carries a wheelset, attached to a vehicle—a modular subassembly of wheels and axles. Bogies take various forms in various modes of transport. A bogie may remain normally attached (as on many railroad cars and semi-trailers) or be quickly detachable (as the dolly in a road train or in railway bogie exchange); it may contain a suspension within it (as most rail and trucking bogies do), or be solid and in turn be suspended (as most bogies of tracked vehicles are); it may be mounted on a swivel, as traditionally on a railway carriage or locomotive, additionally jointed and sprung (as in the landing gear of an airliner), or held in place by other means (centreless bogies). Jack In The Green
Jack in the Green, also known as Jack o' the Green, is an English folk custom associated with the celebration of May Day. It involves a pyramidal or conical wicker or wooden framework that is decorated with foliage being worn by a person as part of a procession, often accompanied by musicians. The Jack in the Green tradition developed in England during the eighteenth century. It emerged from an older May Day tradition—first recorded in the seventeenth century—in which milkmaids carried milk pails that had been decorated with flowers and other objects as part of a procession. Increasingly, the decorated milk pails were replaced with decorated pyramids of objects worn on the head, and by the latter half of the eighteenth century the tradition had been adopted by other professional groups, such as bunters and chimney sweeps. Flatbed Trolley
A flatbed trolley a common form of freight transport in distribution environments, for moving bulk loads. Trolleys can aid in reducing effort required to move a load by allowing the user to pull or push instead of lift and carry. A very simple design offers a basic flat platform with four casters and a fixed handle which is used to either push or pull the platform with the load on the platform. Without a flat surface it becomes an open frame trolley and without a handle it is a bogie or dolly. A flatbed trolley is also sometimes called a dray, but the term dray is also used to refer to a truck with no sides. Materials The frame is usually fabricated steel. The primary flatbed surface can be constructed from wooden boards, plastic, steel or mesh. Flatbed casters can vary dramatically, made of solid rubber, air filled pneumatic or cast iron. ''The Bogies'' is a comic strip in ''The Dandy'' and Turbo Extreme.http://www.ignitionlicensing.com/?page_id=1655 It features bunches of nasal mucus and their adventures. Many of the characters names are twists on some famous person or character from popular culture, pop culture. These characters will often act like celebrities but in a gross manner. It originally appeared in Toxic (magazine), ''Toxic'' in 2005, but moved to ''The Dandy'' in June 2008. It was created by Paul Kell and Mark Greenbaum. The comic writer and illustrator is Nigel Auchterlounie. The last strip in Toxic was a Hock Hogan one, and the first Dandy one was a ''Splatman and Gobbin'' story. Collected Editions Two 56 page books have been given away in issues of ''The Dandy Xtreme'' which collect together a large number of stories from the series as well as adding facts, puzzles, jokes and posters. ''Dick & Dom in da Bungalow'' is a British children's television series presented by the duo Dick and Dom ( Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood). The series was broadcast on weekend mornings on various BBC television channels for five series, running between 31 August 2002 and 11 March 2006. Creation McCourt and Wood met whilst presenting CBBC's The Broom Cupboard, and were invited to create a new Saturday morning show to air on CBBC's new digital channel. The name In da Bungalow was suggested by the BBC as a parody of Ali G Indahouse, and aired directly against SM:TV Live with H and Claire from Steps, and The Saturday Show on BBC One with Fearne Cotton and Simon Grant. Bogie is a rural locality in the Whitsunday Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Bogie had a population of 161 people. Geography The terrain is mountainous and relatively undeveloped. The principal land use is grazing on native vegetation. The Bowen Developmental Road passes through the middle of the locality from the south-west (Springlands) to the north-east (Bowen). The Newlands railway system roughly follows the same route as the road through the locality. History On 4 December 1956, the Queensland Government opened for selection a grazing lot of being portions 33 and 34, parish of Adaleigh, County of Herbert in the Bowen Land Agent's district and the Shire of Wangaratta (). It was west of the Bogie Range and the Bogie River flowed through the property. The property is known as Reedy Creek as at 2020. Moshe "Bogie" Ya'alon ( he, משה יעלון; born Moshe Smilansky on 24 June 1950) is an Israeli politician and former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, who also served as Israel's Defense Minister under Benjamin Netanyahu from 2013 until his resignation on 20 May 2016.
