Bodybuilding in Iran is organized and the national federation is internationally recognised. Bodybuilders from the country have competed in international events. There are gyms for bodybuilding in Iran. History In 2013, the Kazakhstani Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation hosted the Asian Championship in Almaty at the Baluan Sholak Sport Palace. Omid Hatamabadi competed in the men's heavyweight group. Mahdi Ayari in the master men's category 40-49 years old competition. Gyms Gyms in the country where bodybuilders train include Bradaran Ayari Club which is located in Tehran. Governance The country has a national organization that is a recognized by the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness as a national federation, representing the country's bodybuilding community. Baluan Sholak Sport Palace
The Baluan Sholak Sports Palace ( kk, Балуан Шолақ атындағы спорт сарайы, translit=Balýan Sholaq atyndaǵy sport saraıy) or Bolyan Sholak Sports Palace is a Palace of Sports in Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan. It was built in 1967 and extensively renovated in 2009–2011. It is named after Baluan Sholak, a celebrated Kazakh composer, singer, poet, dombra player, dzhigit and wrestler. It is the home arena for Aisulu Almaty, a women's ice hockey team based in Almaty. Omid Hatamabadi
''Omid'' ( fa, امید, meaning "Hope") was Iran's first domestically made satellite. Omid was a data-processing satellite for research and telecommunications; Iran's state television reported that it was successfully launched on 2 February 2009. After being launched by an Iranian-made carrier rocket, Safir 1, the satellite was placed into a low Earth orbit. The launch, which coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution and was supervised by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was also verified by NASA the following day as a success. Its Satellite Catalog Number or USSPACECOM object number is 33506. Ahmadinejad said the satellite was launched to spread "monotheism, peace and justice" in the world. Bodybuilding is the use of progressive resistance exercise to control and develop one's muscles (muscle building) by muscle hypertrophy for aesthetic purposes.
