Body Language (Ana Album)
''Body Language'' is the second studio album by Cuban-American singer Ana, released by Parc Records and Epic Records in 1990. It features the singles "Got to Tell Me Something" and "Angel of Love", the latter featuring a duet with Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block. The album was mainly produced by NKOTB's manager Maurice Starr and includes two songs written and produced by Debbie Gibson and two songs co-written and co-produced by former Miami Sound Machine drummer Kiki Garcia. Ana Maria Pérez (née Rodríguez) (born February 22, 1974 in Havana, Cuba) is a Cuban-American singer who has recorded under the stage names Ana and Mía. Biography Ana Maria Rodríguez was born in Havana, Cuba, on February 22, 1974. She relocated with her family to Miami, Florida in 1979. In 1984, Rodríguez signed to Parc Records when she was 10 years old. Under the name Ana, her self-titled debut album was released in 1987, and while it was not a hit in the U.S., it did achieve success in Japan, where it was titled ''Shy Boys''. Ana's debut single "Shy Boys" peaked at No. 94 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and No. 23 on the ''Billboard'' Dance Chart. Larry Curtis Johnson (born July 14, 1953), better known by his stage name Maurice Starr, is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work creating songs and albums with boy bands New Edition and New Kids on the Block. He was fired by New Edition for embezzling funds. Miami Sound Machine was an American band of Latin-influenced music that had featured the vocals of Cuban-born recording artist Gloria Estefan (née Fajardo). Established in 1975 by Emilio Estefan Jr., the band was originally known as the Miami Latin Boys before becoming the Miami Sound Machine in 1977. The band had a number of albums and a string of hit singles until 1989. The band's 1985 album ''Primitive Love'' credited the band whereas their follow-up album '' Let It Loose'' in 1987 placed Gloria Estefan at the forefront.
