Geoffrey Bocca (1924-1983) was an English novelist and historian who resided for many years in the United States. Bocca wrote several biographies including studies of Winston Churchill, Harry Oakes and Diosdado Macapagal, and covered subjects as diverse as the French Riviera and the assassination of John F. Kennedy in his non-fiction. Bocca wrote two royal biographies on Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor, and Queen Elizabeth II and Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Giorgio Bocca
Giorgio Valentino Bocca (28 August 1920 – 25 December 2011) was an Italian essayist and journalist, also known for his participation in the World War II partisan movement. Biography Bocca was born in Cuneo, Piedmont, the son of teachers, and studied law. He fought in the Alpini corps during World War II, and befriended Benedetto Dalmastro and Duccio Galimberti. Together with them, after the Armistice with Italy (September 1943), he joined the partisan organization called Giustizia e Libertà, becoming the commander of its 10th Division, fighting together with US and British Armies against the nazi-fascists. Having begun his press career in Cuneo, Bocca wrote for Giustizia and Libertà's magazine during the post-war period. Later, he worked for the '' Gazzetta del Popolo'', ''L'Europeo'' and '' Il Giorno'', analyzing Italian culture and politics. Julio Bocca
Julio Adrián Lojo Bocca (born March 6, 1967) is an Argentine ballet dancer. Bocca spent twenty years as a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre. From 2010 to 2018 he served as artistic director of the National Ballet of Uruguay, administered by SODRE, the country's broadcasting and cultural authority. Bocca has been called one of the most popular Argentine dancers of all time. Early life and career Born in the Munro neighborhood of the Greater Buenos Aires, he started ballet lessons at the age of four, and at the age of seven entered the National School of Dance, progressing to the Teatro Colón's Advanced Arts Institute a year later.
