Straight Between The Eyes
''Straight Between the Eyes'' is the sixth studio album by the British hard rock band Rainbow, released in 1982. A remastered CD reissue, with packaging duplicating the original vinyl release, was released in May 1999. History The band line-up was the same as had recorded the previous year's ''Difficult to Cure'' album, with the exception of David Rosenthal, who replaced Don Airey on keyboards. The title allegedly came from a phrase from Jeff Beck, describing Jimi Hendrix to Blackmore. The sleeve-art is by British artist Jeff Cummins and Hipgnosis. The original vinyl issue had the lyrics printed on the inner sleeve. In an April 1982 interview with British rock magazine ''Kerrang!'', Blackmore stated of "MISS Mistreated", "Well it's to avoid confusion that the 'Miss' is written three times bigger than the 'mistreated' but I expect we'll have someone who shall remain nameless coming up to us saying 'I wrote that song'!" Riot Band
Riot V, formerly known as Riot, is an American heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1975 by guitarist Mark Reale. Reaching peak in popularity in the early 1980s, the band has continued a long-running successful career. Riot's sound initially started out as straightforward heavy metal, but since their 1988 release ''Thundersteel'', their musical style has shifted a little towards power metal. In 2013, surviving members of the band re-incarnated the band to Riot V, after the death of founding member, guitarist, main songwriter and leader Mark Reale. The group uses a baby seal face as a logo on its album covers. History Early years (1975–1983) Riot was formed in 1975 in New York City, when Kon-Tiki guitarist Mark Reale and drummer Peter Bitelli recruited bassist Phil Feit and vocalist Guy Speranza. Curse Of The Hidden Mirror
''Curse of the Hidden Mirror'' is the fourteenth studio album by American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, released in June 5, 2001. The only single from the record was the poorly received "Pocket". Lackluster sales and poor relations led to the band being dropped by their label, Sanctuary Records; as a result, BÖC did not release another studio album for nearly 20 years, until the release of ''The Symbol Remains'' in 2020. The title of the album is taken from a song contained in the unreleased album by the Stalk-Forrest Group, the band that would later become Blue Öyster Cult, recorded in 1970. John Shirley, an author of cyberpunk science fiction, wrote the lyrics for many songs of the album. The song "Out of the Darkness" was originally featured in the 1992 film ''Bad Channels'', which Blue Öyster Cult recorded the soundtrack for, although the song was not included in the soundtrack album for the movie. "Showtime" was originally written and recorded for ''Cultösaurus ...

Heaven Forbid
''Heaven Forbid'' is the thirteenth studio album by American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, released on March 24, 1998. It was the band's first studio album with new material in a decade (not counting the 1992 soundtrack to ''Bad Channels''). American science fiction and horror writer John Shirley wrote lyrics to most of the songs on the album. While he is primarily known as an author for his cyberpunk stories, many of the lyrics on this album revolve around early science fiction and mystery motifs. The album's working title was 'Ezekiel's Wheel,' after the Biblical story that some take to reference an early visitation by UFOs. The album's live song "In Thee" was originally featured on ''Mirrors''. "Still Burnin'" is a sequel to the song "Burnin' for You", which appeared on ''Fire of Unknown Origin''. The inspiration for the alternative cover is Morgan Fairchild. This image also appears on the reverse of the insert, and was originally intended to be the front piece as indicat ...

Terrified (album)
''Terrified'' is the seventh album by American heavy metal band Quiet Riot. It is the band's first album in five years, and marks the return of singer Kevin DuBrow after his firing in 1987. It is bassist Kenny Hillery's only studio album with the band, and drummer Bobby Rondinelli plays on several songs. Many of the album's songs were featured in Charles Band's movie ''Dollman vs. Demonic Toys'', with the album itself being released on Moonstone Records, the soundtrack offshoot of Band's film company Full Moon Entertainment. The song "Itchycoo Park" is a cover of the Small Faces' single from 1967.
