Bobby Miller (Gaelic Footballer)
Bobby Miller (18 March 1950 – 10 June 2006) was an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for Laois and Timahoe. In June 2006, Miller was managing the Arles-Killeen side from Laois that included Laois county stars Beano McDonald and Donal Brennan when he became ill on the sideline shortly before half time. Medics did what they could on the pitch itself and he was then taken to Portlaoise Midland Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. He was 56 years of age. Player He won the Leinster Minor Football Championship title with Laois in 1967 and in 1969 he added a Leinster U21 Football Championship title to his honours. During the same year, 1969, he won a Laois Senior Football Championship with his Timahoe GAA club and it proved to be the only time Timahoe were crowned club champions in Laois at senior level. Bobby Miller (born April 3, 1966) is a neo-soul/rock musician from Chicago, Illinois. Career A multi-instrumentalist, Miller began playing piano at the age of 8 and later studied trumpet and drums at the Lyon and Healy's school of music. With roots stemming from the church, Miller's resume includes working with such well known musicians and songwriters as Marvin Yancy, Raynard Miner ( Fontella Bass "Rescue Me"), Clarence Satchell and Marshall Jones of the Ohio Players and he was the drummer for former Roger Troutman and Zapp vocalist Wanda Rash. An active member of both ASCAP and NARAS, Miller's debut solo album was recorded on the Chi-Town Ballin' label in 1992 and he produced several solo albums on the Dafont Records label out of Chicago. Most of Miller's productions include collaborations with engineer and guitarist Jerry Soto. Bobby Miller is a writer/director whose short film ''TUB'' world premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. It went on to play SXSW, and other film festivals around the world. His feature debut was '' The Cleanse''. He also directed '' Critters Attack!'', a reboot of the cult horror franchise. Career In 2016 he wrote/directed his first feature film, '' The Cleanse'', starring Johnny Galecki, Anna Friel, Anjelica Huston, and Oliver Platt. It world premiered at SXSW 2016 and was named one of "7 Hidden Gems in the 2016 Features Lineup" by Indiewire. His next project is called ''END TIMES'', funded by a Kickstarter campaign. It had its world premiere at the Boston Underground Film Festival. He was also a co-writer for the ''Summer Camp Island'' episode "Time Traveling Quick Pants". Robert Anthony Miller (born April 5, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He played college baseball for the Louisville Cardinals. He was selected 29th overall by the Dodgers in the 2020 Major League Baseball draft. Amateur career Miller attended McHenry West High School in McHenry, Illinois, where he played baseball. In 2016, his junior season, he went 5–2 with a 1.98 ERA and 76 strikeouts over 55 innings. After his senior year in 2017, he was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 38th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and instead enrolled at the University of Louisville where he played college baseball. As a freshman at Louisville in 2018, Miller went 6–1 with a 2.97 ERA over 17 games (nine starts), earning Freshman All-American honors and spots on the American Athletic Conference Third Team and All-Freshman Team.
