Bobby Kim
Kim Do-kyun (; born January 12, 1973), more commonly known as Bobby Kim (Hangul: 바비 킴), is a South Korean hip hop and R&B artist. Music career His father, a trumpet player, influenced and exposed him to music. At an early age, he worked as a rapper at night clubs. Since high school, he performed in clubs in the San Francisco underground. That time, he got attracted by hip hop when America was in a golden age of hip hop, but he learned many genres of music as well. Later in 1992, he went to Korea to start his music career. In 1994, he debuted as a member of a group called ‘Dr. Reggae.” However, the group could not achieve much success. Thus, he started doing features as a background rapper, appearing on numerous singles. Kingston Rudieska() is a nine-piece South Korean ska band formed in 2004. Their sound is mainly influenced by first-wave Jamaican ska, as well as other Caribbean genres including reggae and calypso music. They are heavily influenced by the Skatalites and frequently perform Skatalites covers. Many of the members are jazz musicians, and their sound is heavily influenced by ska jazz, with band members frequently performing solos during performances. Cho Yong-pil (; born March 21, 1950) is a South Korean singer who is considered one of the most influential figures in Korean popular music. He debuted as a member of the rock band Atkins in 1968 and made his solo debut with the hit single "Come Back to Busan Port" in 1976. Cho has released 19 solo albums and has remained consistently popular during his 50-year career. Nicknamed the "King of Pop" in his native country, his songs have ranked number one on South Korean music charts in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2010s.
