Bobby G. Rice
Robert Gene Rice (born July 11, 1944, in Boscobel, Wisconsin, United States) is an American country music singer-songwriter, known professionally as Bobby G. Rice. Between 1970 and 1988, Rice released nine albums and charted thirty songs on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles chart. His biggest hit, "You Lay So Easy On My Mind," peaked at Number 3 in 1973. Boscobel is a city in Grant County, Wisconsin, Grant County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,286 at the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census. Approximately 0.6 mi. (1 km) to the north of the city, across a riparian swamp, is the Wisconsin River. U.S. Route 61 crosses the Wisconsin River at Boscobel. To the south, the city is bordered by the Boscobel (town), Wisconsin, Town of Boscobel. Wayne Kemp (June 11, 1940 – March 9, 2015) was an American country music singer-songwriter. He recorded between 1964 and 1986 for JAB Records, Decca, MCA, United Artists, Mercury and Door Knob Records, and charted twenty-four singles on the Hot Country Songs charts. His highest-peaking single was "Honky Tonk Wine", which peaked at No. 17 in 1973. The song is included on his second studio album, ''Kentucky Sunshine'', which reached No. 25 on Top Country Albums. Kemp was born, one of nine children, to a musical family in Greenwood, Arkansas. His parents played several instruments and encouraged their children to sing and harmonize together.
