Bob Tallman
Bob Tallman born Robert Matthew Tallman (born October 25, 1947) is a ProRodeo Hall of Fame American rodeo announcer. He is known as "the voice of professional rodeo". Life Bob Tallman was born Robert Matthew Tallman on October 25, 1947, in Orovada, Nevada to rancher John B. Tallman and his wife Irene Capelli. Tallman and his sister, Maryanne, grew up on the family's Willow Creek cattle ranch, near Orovada. The Tallmans moved into Winnemucca when Bob was 10 years old. He tried football in high school, but it did not work out athletically. He had a natural talent for golf, but he loved rodeo more, and he could rope. He gained some experience roping in high school and in 4-H. He went to California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. He was there to rope, but he cared more about spending time with his friends. He did try to ride bucking horses, but was advised by the Canadian bull rider Bob Robinson, "find something else". Orovada, Nevada
Orovada is a census-designated place in Humboldt County, Nevada. The population was 155 at the 2010 census. History The first permanent settlement at Orovada was made in 1918. The name is a combination of ''oro'' (Spanish "gold") and Nevada. A post office has been in operation at Orovada since 1920. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the Orovada CDP has an area of , all land. U.S. Route 95 runs through the CDP, leading south to Winnemucca and north to the Oregon state line at McDermitt. Education The Humboldt County School District operates schools serving areas with Orovada addresses. Some areas are zoned to Orovada School, a K-8 school. Other areas are zoned to Kings River School, a K-8 school. In 1954 the Orovada School had 22 students. A new building, designed by Alegre and Hanson and built by A.T. Costa, opened in 1958. Rodeo Hall Of Fame
The Rodeo Hall of Fame was established by the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in 1955. Located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S., the Hall was created to celebrate the contributions of cowboys and cowgirls from around the world. The hall is a tribute to the most notable rodeo performers, who established the path for today's champions. The hall of fame has the largest rodeo collection in the nation and claims to be the first rodeo hall of fame. American Angus
The American Angus is an American breed of beef cattle. It derives from the Scottish Aberdeen Angus population, but may only be black. Red-coated individuals may not be registered with the American Angus Association, but can be registered as Red Angus. History In 1883 a breeders' association, the American Aberdeen-Angus Breeders' Association, was established in Chicago, Illinois, with 60 members; the name was shortened to American Angus Association in the 1950s. Until 1917 both black and red cattle could be registered in the herd-book of the association; thereafter, red-coated individuals were barred from registration. The registered population in 2010 numbered about head, with almost breeding cows and over registered bulls, making it the most numerous beef breed of the United States. Poolville is an Unincorporated area, unincorporated community in Parker County, Texas, Parker County, Texas, United States located along Farm Road 920, about seventeen miles north of Weatherford, Texas, Weatherford, the county seat.
