Bob Starkey
Bob Starkey (born September 7, 1959) is an assistant coach for the LSU Tigers women's basketball team. He served as an assistant under head coach Gary Blair at Texas A&M from 2012 to 2021. Coaching career Starkey began his career as an assistant coach for the men's basketball team at West Virginia State University from 1984 to 1987. He then became an assistant coach at Marshall University for the women's team from 1988 to 1989. In 1990, Starkey moved to Louisiana State University as an assistant for the LSU men's team until 1996. In 1997, he was an administrative assistant for the LSU men's and women's basketball teams. Starting in 1998, he served as an assistant coach for the LSU Lady Tigers basketball team until 2011. LSU Tigers Women's Basketball
The LSU Tigers women's basketball team represents Louisiana State University in NCAA Division I women's college basketball. The team’s head coach is Kim Mulkey, the former head coach at Baylor University, who was hired on April 25, 2021 to replace Nikki Fargas, who had been head coach since the 2011-2012 season. The team plays its home games in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center located on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Pokey Chatman
Dana "Pokey" Chatman (born June 18, 1969) is currently an assistant coach for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Chatman is the former head coach of the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky of the WNBA. She is also the former head coach of the LSU Lady Tigers basketball team and the Spartak Moscow women's basketball team. Chatman spent the first 20 years of her adult life at LSU as a player (1987–1991), student assistant (1991–1992), assistant coach (1992–2004) and head coach (2004–2007). Van Chancellor
Van Winston Chancellor (born September 27, 1943) is a former college and professional basketball coach. He coached University of Mississippi women's basketball, Louisiana State University women's basketball, and the professional Houston Comets. He was named head coach of the Lady Tigers on April 11, 2007, replacing Pokey Chatman. In 2001, Chancellor was elected to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
