Bob Sneddon
Robert Lee Sneddon (July 9, 1921 – January 24, 2012) was an American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins and the Detroit Lions. Sneddon also played in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) for the Los Angeles Dons. He played college football at St. Mary's College of California and was drafted in the tenth round of the 1944 NFL Draft The 1944 National Football League Draft was held on April 19, 1944, at the Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Defensive Back
In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. The National Football League Draft, also called the NFL Draft or (officially) the Player Selection Meeting, is an annual event which serves as the league's most common source of player recruitment. Each team is given a position in the drafting order in reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the last place team is positioned first and the Super Bowl champion is last.
