Bob Oliver Rogers
Bob Oliver Rogers (1950 – 1979) was a radio producer employed by the British Broadcasting Corporation, between 1973 and 1979, at the BBC's New Broadcasting House, Manchester. He principally produced light entertainment shows for the BBC's national radio stations, including comedies, quizzes and panel games. He died of natural causes in 1979, aged 29. Avis Bunnage (22 April 1923, Ardwick, Manchester – 4 October 1990, Thorpe Bay, Southend-on-Sea) was an English actress of film, stage and television. Patricia Doreen Coombs (27 August 1926 – 25 May 2002) was an English actress. She specialised in the portrayal of the eternal downtrodden female, comically under the thumb of stronger personalities. Peter Geoffrey Francis Jones (12 June 1920 – 10 April 2000) was an English actor, screenwriter and broadcaster. Early life and early career Peter Jones, born in Wem, Shropshire, was educated at Wem Grammar School and Ellesmere College, making his first appearance as an actor in Wolverhampton at the age of 16 and then appeared in repertory theatre in East Anglia. In 1942 he acted on the West End stage in '' The Doctor's Dilemma'' and in 1942 he made an uncredited film appearance in '' Fanny by Gaslight''. ''Funny You Should Ask'' is an American television panel game show that aired from 1968 to 1969 on ABC. Hosted by Lloyd Thaxton, it was a comedy game show featuring celebrities, and aired as part of a programming block that also included ''The Newlywed Game'' and ''The Dating Game''. The series debuted on October 28, 1968, and was produced by Heatter-Quigley Productions. Among the show's frequent celebrity guests were Jan Murray, Rose Marie, Stu Gilliam, and Jim Backus. Additionally, many of the celebrities were fixtures on fellow Heatter-Quigley game show ''Hollywood Squares'' and several other Heatter-Quigley Productions shows. John Francis Junkin (29 January 1930 – 7 March 2006) was an English actor and scriptwriter who had a long career in radio, television and film, specialising in comedy. Early life Born in Ealing, Middlesex, the son of a policeman, he and his parents subsequently moved to Forest Gate so that he could attend St Bonaventure's Catholic School there, before qualifying as a teacher at St Mary's College, Strawberry Hill. ''Hello Cheeky'' is a comedy series starring Barry Cryer, John Junkin and Tim Brooke-Taylor, broadcast on BBC Radio 2 between 1973 and 1979, and also broadcast on television - on the ITV network - in 1976. The format was short comedy sketches, often as short as one line, with occasional longer sketches. The BBC radio show was broadcast weekly in a half-hour timeslot, usually on Saturday or Sunday lunchtime.
