Bob Neuenschwander
Robert William "Bob" Neuenschwander (; July 4, 1948 – April 13, 2022) was an American businessman and politician. He served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives between 1983 to 1991 for the Democratic Party. Early life and education Neuenschwander was born July 4, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to Charles (1920-2005) and Mildred Neuenschwander. He had one brother Charles Roy Neuenschwander. His great-grandfather, Gottfried Neuenschwander, emigrated to the United States from Switzerland in 1884 aged 10. Career He served in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1974. Neuenschwander went to Bemidji State University and was a businessman who owned a taxidermy business and gift shop: ''Border Bob's''. Bemidji State University Alumni
Bemidji ( ) is a city and the county seat of Beltrami County, in northern Minnesota, United States. The population was 14,574 at the 2020 census. Itasca County
Itasca County (pronounced eye-ta-ska) is located in the State of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 45,014. Its county seat is Grand Rapids. The county is named after Lake Itasca, which is in turn a shortened version of the Latin words ''veritas caput'', meaning 'truth' and 'head', a reference to the source of the Mississippi River. Bemidji State University
Bemidji State University (BSU) is a public university in Bemidji, Minnesota. Founded as a preparatory institution for teachers in 1919, it provides higher education to north-central Minnesota. It is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. History BSU was founded in 1919 and opened under the name Bemidji State Normal School. The first President Manfred Deputy was appointed to run the new institution and the first class consisted of 38 students.
