Robert Hugh Miller
Robert Hugh Miller (November 27, 1826 – February 14, 1911), founder and publisher of the ''Liberty Tribune'', one of the oldest newspapers of continuous publication west of the Mississippi, was born in Richmond, Virginia on November 27, 1826. Miller established the ''Tribune'' in 1846 and edited it until 1886. His family migrated from Virginia to Kentucky when he was six, and to Missouri when he was 12. As a teenager, he was apprenticed, first to the ''Columbia Patriot'', and later to the ''Missouri Statesman''. Encouraged by William Jewell (educator), William Jewell of Columbia, Missouri, Columbia, Miller moved to Liberty, Missouri, where he founded the ''Tribune'', which eventually became profitable. Robert Byron Miller (19 April 1825 – 5 October 1902) was a lawyer and politician in colonial Tasmania. Miller was born in London, England, the eldest son of Robert Miller, a barrister, and his wife Jane Matilde, ''née'' Montmorini. Miller had a younger brother, Maxwell Miller, who also became a Tasmanian politician. Miller was educated at private schools and King's College, London, and entered as a student at the Middle Temple in April 1843, and was called to the bar in January 1848. Miller decided to emigrate to Tasmania, arriving at Hobart Town in January 1855; he was admitted a barrister in the Supreme Court of Tasmania in August 1855. Having entered Parliament on 31 May 1861 as member for Launceston. Robert Joseph Miller (born March 30, 1945) is an American former attorney and politician who served as the 26th Governor of Nevada from 1989 to 1999. A member of the Democratic Party, he had previously served as the Lieutenant Governor of Nevada from 1987 to 1989. Robert 'Bob' Henry Miller (born 12 March 1941) is a former Labor Party politician. He was also an Australian rules footballer who played for Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the early 1960s. Miller, who was used mostly as a ruck-rover or defender, was recruited to the Melbourne Football Club from Horsham. He made his debut in 1961, for a Norm Smith coached team which had appeared in the previous seven VFL Grand Finals. Although Miller contested finals in his first three seasons, including a Preliminary Final loss in 1963, he never got to play in a premiership decider. Melbourne did make the 1964 VFL Grand Final, which they won, but Miller was not selected. He retired at the end of the 1965 season, having played 69 senior games with Melbourne.
