Bob Landers
Robert John "Bob" Landers (1940-1996) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer in the New South Wales Rugby League competition for the Eastern Suburbs and Penrith clubs. A long-striding , Landers played with the Eastern Suburbs club from (1959-1965) and played in the Roosters 1960 grand final loss to St. George. He was a student of St Josephs’ College in Sydney. Playing career In 1959, Landers first season at the Eastern Suburbs club, he was selected to represent New South Wales rugby league team. Landers was the NSWRFL top point scorer in the 1960 NSWRFL season, and the 1961 NSWRFL season. After leaving Easts at the end of the 1965 season Landers joined English club Leeds before returning to Australia where he played with Penrith Panthers in their first season in the NSWRFL in 1967. Sydney Roosters
The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League premiership, New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. First founded as the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club (ESDRLFC), it is the only club to have played in each and every season at the elite level, and since the 1970s has often been dubbed the glamour club of the league. The Sydney Roosters have won 15 premierships, equal to the record of the St George Dragons. Only the South Sydney Rabbitohs have won more premierships. Leeds Rhinos
The Leeds Rhinos are a professional rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club was formed in 1870 as Leeds St John's and play in the Super League, the top tier of English rugby league. They have played home matches at Headingley Stadium since 1890. In 1895, Leeds was one of twenty-two rugby clubs that broke away from the Rugby Football Union and formed what was originally the Northern Union, but is now the Rugby Football League. The club was known simply as Leeds until the end of the 1996 season, when they added Rhinos to their name. They are also historically known as the Loiners, referring to the demonym for a native of Leeds. Leeds have won 11 League Titles, 13 Challenge Cups and three World Club Challenge titles.
