Bob Jungels (born 22 September 1992) is a Luxembourgish road bicycle racer, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Rollingen, Mersch, Luxembourg, Jungels competed in the Tour de France for the first time in 2015, as part of the UCI World Tour team , finishing 27th overall and 5th in the young rider classification. Etixx–Quick-Step (2016–20) Jungels signed for for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. He was named in the start list for the 2016 Giro d'Italia where he finished sixth overall and won the young rider classification. In 2017 he confirmed his ambitions in the general classification by finishing 8th in the Giro d'Italia. He also defended the young rider classification from the previous edition. Only Vladimir Poulnikov and Pavel Tonkov won the classification in consecutive years before him. 2018 Liège–Bastogne–Liège
The 2018 Liège–Bastogne–Liège was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 22 April 2018 in Belgium. It was the 104th edition of the Liège–Bastogne–Liège and the eighteenth event of the 2018 UCI World Tour. The race was won by the champion of Luxembourg, Bob Jungels (), who escaped on the Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons. Canadian rider Michael Woods, riding for the team, won the sprint for second place ahead of 's Romain Bardet for France. The UCI WorldTour (2009–2010: ''UCI World Ranking'') is the premier men's elite road cycling tour, sitting above the UCI ProSeries and various regional UCI Continental Circuits. 2018 UCI Road World Championships
The 2018 UCI Road World Championships were held in Innsbruck, Austria. It was the 91st UCI Road World Championships and the third to be held in Austria. The World Championships consisted of a total of twelve competitions, one road race, one team time trial and one individual time trial for men and women, as well as one road race and one individual time trial for U23 riders and juniors. The Tour de Suisse organisers were responsible for the operational organisation of the races. The competitions were very demanding: the 265-kilometre men's road race had nine climbs with around 5000 metres of altitude difference. Because of the many climbs, some sprinters did not participate in the World Championships because they saw no prospect of success for themselves. 2016 UCI Road World Championships
The 2016 UCI Road World Championships took place in Doha, Qatar, in October 2016. The championships was moved from the traditional September to October to avoid extreme hot and blustery weather. The event consisted of a road race, a team time trial and a time trial for elite men and women and a road race and a time trial for men under-23, junior men and junior women. It was the 89th Road World Championships and the first time that Qatar and the Middle East hosted the championships.
