Bob Griffin (American Football Coach)
Bob Griffin (born October 22, 1940) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Idaho State University from 1972 to 1975 and the University of Rhode Island from 1976 to 1992, compiling a career college football coaching record of 100–127–1. His 79 wins with the Rhode Island Rams are the most of any head coach in program history. Griffin was born and raised in Milford, Connecticut and graduated from Southern Connecticut State College in 1963. He played college football at Southern Connecticut State as a quarterback and holds the team record for longest completed pass (87 yards). Coaching career Griffin began his coaching career at Holy Cross High School in Queens, NY, leading the team to their first New York City Championship in 1963 and a second New York City Championship in 1965. Bob J. Griffin (; born June 24, 1950) is an American-Israeli former basketball player. He played the point guard and shooting guard positions. He played basketball in the Israeli Basketball Premier League from 1972 to 1979. He is now an Associate Professor of English Literature at Texas A&M University. Biography Bob Griffin grew up in Port Washington, on the North Shore of Long Island in New York State, and attended Paul D. Schreiber Senior High School ('68). He is 5' 10" (180 cm) tall. He then attended Columbia University, and played for the Columbia Lions basketball team in 1969–70. Bob Griffin (February 10, 1895August 2, 1979) was a NASCAR team owner from 1950 to 1962. As owner of Griffin Motors Racing, along with his sons Tommy and Bobby, he fielded cars in the NASCAR Grand National Series. Drivers such as Buck Baker, Fireball Roberts, Lee Petty, and Fonty Flock at one point raced for Griffin Motors Racing. Additionally, he was the owner of Griffin Motors Oldsmobile in Florence, South Carolina. The racing team, also based out of Florence, ran Oldsmobile sedans in the newly formed NASCAR series. BoDeans is an American rock band formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin. BoDeans came to prominence in the 1980s. The band's sound encompasses multiple rock genres, including roots rock, heartland rock, and alternative rock.
