Robert Ciro Gigante, known as Bob Grant (March 14, 1929 – December 31, 2013), was an American radio host. A veteran of broadcasting in New York City, Grant is considered a pioneer of the conservative talk radio format and was one of the early adopters of the "combat talk" format. Grant's career spanned from the 1950s until shortly before his death at age 84 on December 31, 2013. Grant was widely termed a political conservative, and personally considered himself to be a conservative with some libertarian leanings. Career Early work As a high school student at Steinmetz High School in Chicago, Grant auditioned for the Central Radio Workshop of the Chicago Public Schools, where once every two weeks he would perform in plays on FM radio station WBEZ. Robert St Clair Grant (14 April 19328 November 2003) was an English actor, comedian and writer, best known for playing bus conductor Jack Harper in the television sitcom ''On the Buses'', as well as its film spin-offs and stage version. Early life Grant was born in Hammersmith, West London, on 14April 1932, the son of Albert George Grant (19091985) and Florence (19092001), . He was educated at Aldenham School. Early career Grant trained as an actor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, working in his spare time as a frozen food salesman and also (coincidentally, in view of his later career) as a bus driver. After doing national service in the Royal Artillery, he made his stage debut in 1952 as Sydney in ''Worm's Eye View'' at the Court Royal, Horsham. Bob Grant (born 5 June 1946) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s and 1970s. A New South Wales interstate and Australian international representative , he played most of his club football for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, with whom he won three premierships. Club career He featured in the talented South Sydney sides of the late 1960s and early 1970s. He played in the premiership victories of 1968, 1970 and 1971. Grant starred with two tries in Souths' convincing 23–12 victory over Manly in the 1970 Grand Final. In all he played 135 club games for South Sydney between 1966 and 1975. Playing Accrington Stanley Born in Liverpool, Merseyside, Grant came through Accrington Stanley's youth system and made his first team on 5 May 2007 in the League Two clash with Milton Keynes Dons at the National Hockey Stadium which ended in 3–1 defeat for Stanley. In that game, at the age of 16 years 309 days, he became the second youngest player to appear in The Football League for Stanley and the youngest since February 1959. At the beginning of the 2007–08 season he suffered a knee injury which kept him out until January 2008, soon after he signed professional terms. Robert Grant (25 September 1940 – February 2017) was a Scottish footballer who played as an inside forward. Career Grant began his career at Ormiston Primrose, before signing for Rangers in 1959. On 27 April 1960, Grant made his only appearance for Rangers, in a 4–1 defeat to away to Clyde. In 1961, Grant signed for St Johnstone, making three Scottish Football League appearances during his time at the club. In 1962, Grant moved to England, signing for Carlisle United. Grant made two English Football League appearances for the club, scoring once. After a spell at Carlisle, Grant dropped into non-league, playing for Chelmsford City and Cheltenham Town. In 1965, Grant signed for Gloucester City, taking up a player-manager role. Grant made 100 appearances in all competitions, scoring 36 times.
