Bob Fornelli
Robert William Fornelli (born August 9, 1966) is an American college baseball coach and current head baseball coach at Pittsburg State University. Previously, Fornelli coached at his alma mater Emporia State University from 2004 to 2018 where he guided the Hornets to five Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association regular season championships and two conference tournament championships, 13 trips to the NCAA Tournament, two World Series appearances and a national runner-up finish. Fornelli was the coach at Fort Hays State from 1996 to 2003. Career After graduating from Emporia State in 1991 and playing four years at Emporia State, Fornelli spent five seasons as Butler Community College's pitching coach. Fort Hays State In 1996, Fornelli became head coach of the Fort Hays State Tigers. During his seven years, Fornelli compiled a 306–113 record. KVOE (1400 AM broadcasting, AM) is an area news radio, news, talk radio, talk, and sports radio, sports radio station that airs local programming such as ''Talk of Emporia'', ''The Emporium'', and ''Area Coach's Corner'' in Emporia, Kansas. KVOE also carries national programs such as ABC News Radio. KVOE is licensed to Emporia, Kansas and owned by Emporia's Radio Stations, Inc. History KVOE AM was established in 1939 under the call sign "KTSW" broadcasting out of the Broadview Hotel at 6th and Merchant. The ''Emporia Gazette'' is a daily newspaper in Emporia, Kansas. History William Allen White bought the newspaper for $3,000 ($ in dollars) in 1895. Through his editorship, over the next five decades, he became an iconic figure in American journalism and political life. The paper rose to national prominence and influence in the Republican Party following the 1896 publication of "What's the Matter With Kansas?", a White editorial that harshly criticized Populism and the Presidential campaign of William Jennings Bryan.
