Robert Evans
Robert Evans (born Robert J. Shapera; June 29, 1930October 26, 2019) was an American film producer, studio executive, and actor, best known for his work on '' Rosemary's Baby'' (1968), '' Love Story'' (1970), ''The Godfather'' (1972), and ''Chinatown'' (1974). Evans began his career in a successful business venture with his brother, selling women's apparel. In 1956, while on a business trip, he was by chance spotted by actress Norma Shearer, who thought he would be right to play the role of her late husband Irving Thalberg in '' Man of a Thousand Faces'' (1957). Thus he began a brief film acting career. In 1962, Evans went into film producing instead, using his accumulated wealth from the clothing business, and began a meteoric rise in the industry. He was made head of Paramount Pictures in 1967. While there, he improved the ailing Paramount's fortunes through a string of commercially and critically acclaimed films. Robert John Emlyn Evans (born 23 October 1956) is a British Labour Co-operative politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 1994 until 2009. He was first elected to the European Parliament for London North West, and then in 1999 and 2004 for the London constituency. Rob Evans (born 5 June 1995) is a Welsh semi-professional footballer who plays for AFC Telford United in the National League North. Career Wrexham Evans was born in Penycae, Wrexham County Borough. He made his first-team debut for Wrexham in a Conference Premier match against Newport County in April 2012. Evans became Wrexham's youngest ever captain whilst leading Wrexham to a 2–1 FA Trophy victory over Gresley in 2013 at the age of 18. Robert Evans (16 July 1927 – 1 September 2001) was a Scottish association football, football player and manager, most notable for his time with Celtic F.C., Celtic. Career Evans began playing football for Glasgow Scottish Junior Football Association, Junior side Pollok F.C., Pollok. Robert Thomas Evans (16 February 1921 – 14 April 2003) was a Wales, Welsh rugby union flanker who played club rugby for Newport RFC, Newport and county rugby for Monmouthshire County RFC, Monmouthshire. Robert Spencer Evans (24 September 1911 – 1981) was a Welsh footballer who played as a half-back for Rhyl Athletic, Wrexham, Chester, Stoke City, Altrincham, Port Vale, and Northwich Victoria before World War II. Robert Owen Evans (August 1881 – 8 March 1962) was a Welsh international professional footballer who won ten caps for his country and made 107 appearances in the Football League playing for Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham. He played as a goalkeeper. Career Evans was born in Wrexham. He played local football before joining Wrexham in 1898. Wrexham were champions of The Combination for three successive seasons, from 1900–01 to 1902–03, and Evans played in two Welsh Cup finals for the club, on the losing side in 1902 but victorious in 1903. Robert Ernest Evans (21 November 1885 – 28 November 1965) was an English professional footballer, who played as a left-winger for Aston Villa (1906–1908) and Sheffield United (1908–1915). He won the FA Cup with Sheffield United in 1915 and played international football for both Wales and England. Career Evans was born in Chester, England of Welsh parents.
