Bob Dudley-Jones
Robert David Louis Dudley-Jones (born 26 May 1952) is a former Welsh cricketer who played for Glamorgan from 1972 to 1974. He was a right-arm medium pace bowler and right-handed batsman. Life and career Bob Dudley-Jones was born in Bridgend, Glamorgan, and educated at Millfield School, where his teammates in the undefeated First XI in 1970 included David Graveney, Peter Roebuck and Jim Foat. He went on to Cardiff College of Education, where he studied to be a teacher. While studying in Cardiff, Dudley-Jones made his debut for Glamorgan in a first-class match in the 1972 County Championship against Hampshire. He played four further first-class matches for the county from 1972 to 1973, his final match coming against Worcestershire. In his first-class career, he took 13 wickets at a bowling average of 27.00, with best figures of 4/31. He made his List-A debut for Glamorgan in a match against Kent in 1972. Bridgend
Bridgend (; cy, Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr or just , meaning "the end of the bridge on the Ogmore") is a town in Bridgend County Borough in Wales, west of Cardiff and east of Swansea. The County Championship (referred to as the LV= Insurance County Championship for sponsorship reasons) is the domestic first-class cricket competition in England and Wales and is organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Llanishen High School ( cy, Ysgol Uwchradd Llanisien) is an English-medium secondary school based in Llanishen, Cardiff, Wales. It has approximately 1700 students, making it the largest single-site secondary school in Cardiff. It also has a sixth form college for 16-18 year olds. History In 2016, Llanishen High School was rated "adequate" by Estyn and put into monitoring. It was removed from monitoring later the same year, and has made significant progress since then. Part of this has been attributed to a newer, smarter uniform policy. This uniform policy was heavily disputed at first, with a petition of over 200 signing a petition opposing the changes due to cost and practicality. The Benson & Hedges Cup was a one-day cricket competition for first-class counties in England and Wales that was held from 1972 to 2002, one of cricket's longest sponsorship deals. It was the third major one-day competition established in England and Wales after the Sunday League and the Gillette Cup. Traditionally a 'big day out' for the finalist's supporters, it was the less prestigious of the two cups. It began as a 55 over a side game, but was later reduced to 50. The National Counties, known as the Minor Counties before 2020, are the cricketing counties of England and Wales that do not have first-class status. The game is administered by the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA), which comes under the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). There are currently twenty teams in National Counties cricket: nineteen representing historic counties of England, plus the Wales National County Cricket Club. Kent County Cricket Club
Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Kent. A club representing the county was first founded in 1842 but Kent teams have played top-class cricket since the early 18th century, and the club has always held first-class status. The current Kent County Cricket Club was formed on 6 December 1870 following the merger of two representative teams. Kent have competed in the County Championship since the official start of the competition in 1890 and have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England.
