Bob Donewald, Jr.
Bob Donewald Jr. (born c. 1968) is an American basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach for the Texas Longhorns. He was an NBA assistant with the New Orleans Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers from 2001 to 2004, and an ABA (American Basketball Association) head coach from 2004-2005. He is the son of Bob Donewald Sr., a retired American college basketball head coach. Early career Prior to his time with the Hornets, Donewald spent five years as a head coach and general manager in the British Basketball League (BBL), leading his teams to the finals of the championship series on three occasions. He started his time in England as the head coach and general manager of the Leicester Riders (1996–98). Previously known as perennial losers, Donewald was able to take the franchise to finals of the National Cup in 1998. Jonas Kazlauskas
Jonas Kazlauskas (born 21 November 1954) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach and former player. He was most recently the head coach of the Guangdong Southern Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Playing career Kazlauskas played for Statyba Vilnius from 1973 to 1985. He won a bronze medal in the former USSR Supreme League in 1979. Coaching career Clubs Kazlauskas is considered to be one of the best coaches from Europe. Delmer William Harris (born June 18, 1937) is an American basketball coach who is currently the vice president of the Texas Legends, the NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. He served as a head coach for the NBA's Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Lakers, as well as the Legends. He was also an assistant coach for the National Basketball Association's New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Houston Rockets. Guo Shiqiang
Guo Shiqiang (, born 8 July 1975) is a former Chinese professional basketball player and current coach for the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association. He is the uncle of Guo Ailun. Playing career Guo started his professional career in 1993, and spent most of his career at the Liaoning Hunters, and was a longtime member of the Chinese national team, appearing with the team at the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, as well as the 2002 FIBA World Championship. Guangdong Hongyuan Southern Tigers () or Guangdong Southern Tigers, also known as Guangdong Dongguan Bank () for sponsorship reasons, are a Chinese professional basketball team owned by the Guangdong Winnerway (Hongyuan) Group. The Chinese Basketball Association (), often abbreviated as the CBA, is the first-tier professional men's basketball league in China. British Basketball League
The British Basketball League (BBL) is a men's professional basketball league in Great Britain and represents the highest level of play in the countries. The league is contested by 10 teams from England and Scotland. There are no clubs however from Wales or Northern Ireland. The BBL runs three additional knockout competitions alongside the BBL Championship which are the BBL Cup, the BBL Trophy and the end-of-season BBL Play-offs. The BBL sits above the National Basketball League and the Scottish Basketball Championship which effectively form the second tier of British basketball. There is currently no automatic promotion or relegation between the English and Scottish leagues and the BBL because of the franchise system in use in the BBL although several clubs have been successful in making the step up from the EBL in recent years. Bob Donewald
Bob Donewald, Sr. (Born May 29, 1942) is a retired American college basketball coach. He was the first coach to lead Illinois State University to the NCAA post-season national tournament, and he did so for three consecutive seasons. His 1983 team gave Illinois State its first Missouri Valley Conference basketball championship and his 1984 team captured Illinois State's first Division I NCAA Tournament victory. He coached at South Bend St. Joseph's High School for 8 seasons, from 1965–66 to 1972–73. Donewald was an assistant coach under Indiana University coach Bobby Knight, for three seasons (1974–75 to 1977–78) and was a member of the Hoosiers staff in 1976 when Indiana went undefeated and won the national title.
