Bob Cameron (Canadian Football)
Robert "Bob" Cameron (born July 18, 1954) is a former Canadian football player who played 23 seasons (1980-2002) with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League. Cameron was a quarterback at Acadia University. He won the Hec Crighton Trophy (most outstanding college football player in Canada). Cameron was drafted by the Edmonton Eskimos in the first round of the 1977 College Draft. He was converted to a punter with the Blue Bombers. Bob Cameron remains the CFL's all-time leading punter with 134,301 regular season punting yards. He was a CFL all-star 4 times, a divisional all-star 6 times, and helped the Bombers to three Grey Cup victories. In the 1988 Grey Cup Cameron was named the game's Most Valuable Canadian for his effective punting in windy conditions. Ancaster is a historic town in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, located on the Niagara Escarpment. Bernie Ruoff
Bernie Ruoff (born October 12, 1951) is a former punter and placekicker for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 1975 to 1979 and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 1980 to 1987 of the Canadian Football League. He finished his CFL career in 1988, playing 5 games for the British Columbia Lions. Ruoff scored 1,772 points in 14 seasons in the CFL and is one of the leading scorers in league history. He also holds CFL records for the most punts in one game (22 in 1984), and most punting yards in one game (1,054 in 1984). He attended college at Syracuse University, where he played for Hall of Fame coach Ben Schwartzwalder. He attended Cameron Heights Collegiate School. Acadia Axemen Football Players
Acadia (french: link=no, Acadie) was a colony of New France in northeastern North America which included parts of what are now the Maritime provinces, the Gaspé Peninsula and Maine to the Kennebec River. During much of the 17th and early 18th centuries, Norridgewock on the Kennebec River and Castine at the end of the Penobscot River were the southernmost settlements of Acadia.
