Bob Burns (golfer)
Robert Donald Burns (born April 5, 1968) is an American professional golfer. Burns has played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Early life Burns was born in Mission Hills, California. Burns went to John F. Kennedy High school located in the San Fernando Valley. Amateur career He attended college at Cal State Northridge and was a member of the golf team. He won All-American honors his junior year, and was the individual medalist at the 1990 NCAA Division II Championship. Professional career Burns turned pro in 1991 and joined the PGA Tour in 1994. During Burns' first month on the PGA Tour, his home in Northridge, California was rocked by the destructive 1994 Northridge earthquake. He ended his rookie season 101st on the money list but failed to qualify for the PGA Tour for 1995 by a single stroke, and spent the next two years on the Nike Tour (now Nationwide Tour). Eric Johnson (golfer)
Eric Johnson (born October 11, 1962) is an American professional golfer. Johnson was born in Seaside, Oregon. He won the 1980 U.S. Junior Amateur. He played college golf at the University of Oregon. Johnson turned professional in 1983. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 1993, 1995–96, and 1998–2003. He won twice on tour: the 1996 Nike Knoxville Open and the 1998 Nike South Florida Open. He played one full season on the PGA Tour in 1997 where his best finish was T-12 at the GTE Byron Nelson Golf Classic. Johnson is a golf instructor at the RiverRidge Golf Complex in Eugene, Oregon. WGC-Match Play
The WGC Match Play, currently titled as the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play for sponsorship reasons, is a professional men's golf tournament that has been held since 1999. It is the only one of the World Golf Championships to have been contested using the match play format. Since 2016, it has been held at the Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas, United States. Previous names include WGC-Dell Match Play (2015), WGC-Cadillac Match Play (2014), WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship (2001–2013), and WGC-Andersen Consulting Match Play Championship (1999–2000). The Players Championship
The Players Championship (commonly known as simply The Players, stylized by the PGA Tour as The PLAYERS Championship) is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974. The Players Championship at one point offered the highest purse of any tournament in golf ($20 million). The field usually includes the top 50 players in the world rankings, but unlike the major championships and World Golf Championships events, it is owned by the PGA Tour and not an official event on other tours. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament (usually referred to as simply The Masters, or the U.S. Masters outside North America) is one of the four major championships in professional golf. The PGA Championship (often referred to as the US PGA Championship or USPGA outside the United States) is an annual golf tournament conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America. Long Beach Open
The Long Beach Open was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It was held in Long Beach, California at the Virginia Country Club from 1926 to 1930 and at the Lakewood Country Club from 1949 to 1951. In 1957 the Long Beach Open was a PGA Satellite Event. In 1989, a revived Long Beach Open came to the El Dorado and Recreation Park golf courses. Brian Henninger
Brian Hatfield Henninger (born October 19, 1962) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. He has won two tournaments on the PGA Tour and three on the Nationwide Tour. Early life Henninger was born in Sacramento, California. He attended the University of Southern California and walked on to the golf team there. Professional career Henninger turned pro in 1987, playing on the developmental Golden State Golf Tour. After winning three tournaments on the Nationwide Tour in 1992, he joined the PGA Tour in 1993. Henninger's first PGA tournament win came in a playoff at the 1994 Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic in Madison, Mississippi, which was shortened by rain to only 36 holes (this win predated current PGA Tour rules which require 54 holes to be played for a tournament to be considered "official"). Jeff Gove (born May 28, 1971) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. Gove was born in Seattle, Washington. He played college golf at Pepperdine University. He turned professional in 1994. Gove was a member of PGA Tour in 2000, 2002, 2006–08, 2010, and 2013 and the Web.com Tour in 1995–99, 2001, 2003–05, 2009, 2010–12, and 2014.
