Bob Brown (golfer)
Robert James Brown (born 27 December 1944) is an Australian former politician, medical doctor and environmentalist. He was a senator and the parliamentary leader of the Australian Greens. Brown was elected to the Australian Senate on the Tasmanian Greens ticket, joining with sitting Greens Western Australia senator Dee Margetts to form the first group of Australian Greens senators following the 1996 federal election. He was re-elected in 2001 and in 2007. He was the first openly gay member of the Parliament of Australia and the first openly gay leader of an Australian political party. While serving in the Tasmanian parliament, Brown successfully campaigned for a large increase in the protected wilderness areas. Robert Barisford Brown (born February 5, 1969) is an American singer, songwriter and dancer. Brown, alongside frequent collaborator Teddy Riley, is noted as one of the pioneers of new jack swing: a fusion of hip hop and R&B. Brown started his career in the R&B and pop group New Edition, from its inception in 1978 until his exit from the group in December 1985. Trunkey Creek is a village located in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia in Bathurst Regional Council. It is about south of the city of Bathurst and about north of the city of Goulburn on the Bathurst Goulburn Road. At the , Trunkey Creek had a population of 120 people, almost unchanged from the figure of 122 people ten years earlier in the . During the gold rush of 1851 sparked by Edward Hargraves when he announced that there was payable gold to be found at the junction of the Abercrombie River and Grove Creek near the village, it is reputed to have swelled to 2500 people. Diane Elizabeth Margetts (born 5 March 1955), known as Dee Margetts, is a former Australian politician. She was a member of the Australian Senate from 1993 to 1999 and a member of the Western Australian Legislative Council from 2001 to 2005, representing the Greens (WA). Early life Margetts was born in Fremantle and educated locally. In 1979 she left Australia to study in the United Kingdom where she completed an Honours Degree in Development Studies at the University of East Anglia in 1982. Greens Western Australia, commonly known as the Greens WA, is a List of member parties of the Australian Greens, member party of the Australian Greens in Western Australia.
