Blutengel
Blutengel (german: Blood Angel) (stylized as BlutEngel) is a German electronic music group formed by singer Chris Pohl (also of the groups Terminal Choice, Tumor, and Miss Construction and the owner of the Fear Section label) after he had to leave Seelenkrank due to contractual and legal problems. The lyrics are written primarily in German and English and are presented with male and female vocals. The themes of the songs usually centre around themes common in Gothic fiction such as love, vampirism, sexual fetishism, death, and immortality. The band calls their musical style ''dark pop''. History Formation and early years (1998–2001) Blutengel was formed in 1998 after Chris Pohl had decided to give up the preceding project, Seelenkrank (which had released two albums), due to contractual problems. Ulrike Goldmann
Ulrike Goldmann (born 17 June 1980) is a German singer and vocalist of the German electro-gothic band Blutengel since October 2005. Music career Ulrike Goldmann has a trained voice and has been singing her entire life. Her first band was an electro-pop duo called Say - Y, who signed to Chris Pohl's label, Fear Section in 2003 and released their album ''Refill'' later that year, the first one under a record label. Say - Y toured along with Blutengel opening concerts during their 2004 ''Demon Kiss Tour'' and in September 2005 Ulrike left the band in good terms to join Blutengel. In an interview, Goldmann said she was invited by a friend to see a Blutengel concert in Potsdam, during their Angel Dust Tour in March 2003. She was amazed with the show and got to meet Chris, Constance, and Eva after the concert and they quickly became friends. Eva Pölzing
Eva Pölzing or Poelzing is a German singer who is best known as the former female vocalist for Blutengel. Music career Pölzing joined that band early 2002 to replace Gini Martin and stayed the better part of 3 almost 4 years. Her first release with Blutengel was '' Angel Dust''. She sang on three tracks; "Angel of the Night", "Wonderland" and "Keine Ewigkeit" (with Constance Rudert and Chris Pohl). In the '' Demon Kiss'' album, she sang the following tracks: "Angels of the Dark", "Silent Tears (For You)", "In the Distance", "Senseless Life", "Go to Hell?" and "Falscher Stolz". In 2005, after the release of the DVD " Live Lines" Eva decided to leave the band for personal reasons and mostly because the lack of time because she was working on her education and it conflicted with tour schedules, Eva has been replaced by the former Say-Y singer, Ulrike Goldmann. Nina Bendigkeit
Nina Bendigkeit was the first female singer of Blutengel together with Kati Roloff known for her spoken vocals. Career She only sang on their debut album, ''Child Of Glass''. As she left the band she started doing photography. She also contributed to Seelenkrank albums during 1997. She did the Blutengel's '' Angel Dust'' promotional photoshoot in 2002. Tristesse De La Lune
Tristesse de la Lune ( French: "Sadness of the Moon") was an electropop group founded by German musicians Kati Roloff and Gini Martin after they left Blutengel in 2002. Their songs typically have romantic lyrics and draw inspiration from their personal lives or books as well as movies. They carried over their previous contracts with Blutengel's label Out of Line Music. Kati was no longer part of Tristesse de la Lune as of December 15th 2006. Gini continued into 2007 and had recorded six songs for a new album. A previously unreleased track "Erinnerung" was released on Out of Line Music compilation "Machineries of Joy Volume 5" in 2012. Sara Noxx is a German musician and member of the alternative music scene. She is also a member of the band Essexx, who in 1997 were the winners of the ''Zillo'' band contest. Career Noxx's debut solo release was the 1997 mini-album ''Society'' on Nightshade Productions. Her 2001, the album ''Exxtasy'' reached No. 9 on the DAC.
