Bluebirds (TV Series)
''Bluebirds'' is a Children's BBC drama most notable for featuring Barbara Windsor and Martine McCutcheon. First broadcast on 5 October 1989, the show ran for six episodes. The cast also features regulars Isabelle Lucas, Sheila Steafel, Pauline Delaney, Graeme Lally, Sean Blowers and Lance Percival. Synopsis Set in London, it follows the adventures of youth group called the Bluebirds. The bluebirds try and protect their housing project from vandalism by local criminal Robbins. Dame Barbara Windsor (born Barbara Ann Deeks; 6 August 193710 December 2020) was an English actress, known for her roles in the Carry On (franchise), ''Carry On'' films and for playing Peggy Mitchell in the BBC One soap opera, ''EastEnders''." Ronald Henry Pember (11 April 1934 – 8 March 2022) was an English actor, stage director and dramatist. In a career stretching over thirty years, he was a character actor in British television productions in the 1970s – 1980s, usually in bit-parts, or as a support playing a worldly-wise everyman. He played the role of Alain Muny in the 1970s BBC drama series '' Secret Army'', and wrote a stage musical entitled '' Jack the Ripper'' (1974), about the Victorian murder spree in London in the late 1880s, which is regularly produced by amateur theatre groups and companies around the globe. Early life Pember was born in Plaistow, then in the county of Essex, on 11 April 1934, the son of Gladys and William Pember. Albert Moses
Albert Moses, KStJ (19 December 1937 – 15 September 2017) was a Sri Lankan actor based in the United Kingdom. He is best known for playing the role of Ranjeet Singh, a student in Jeremy Brown's EFL class in the popular British sitcom '' Mind Your Language'' and one of four students (along with Giovanni Capello, Juan Cervantes, and Anna Schmidt) to appear in all four series. Personal life He was born on 19 December 1937 in Gampola, Kandy. He started to work at the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya. Then he moved to Africa for employment and finally to London to learn drama and theatre. He was fluent in English, Arabic, Tamil, Sinhalese, moderate German and Sanskrit and excellent in fencing, dancing, singing, motor-cycle stunts, karate and judo. Moses died in September 2017 in London at the age of 79. He was buried at St. Andrew's Church in his native Gampola, Sri Lanka. James Michael Lambert (born November 18, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career Lambert attended San Dimas High School in San Dimas, California. As a senior, he compiled a 13-1 record with a 1.18 ERA, striking out 80 batters in 94 innings. He was not drafted out of high school in the 2013 MLB draft and enrolled at Fresno State University where he played college baseball for the Fresno State Bulldogs. Dennis Edwards Jr. (February 3, 1943 – February 1, 2018) was an American soul and R&B singer who was best known as the frontman in The Temptations, on Motown Records. Edwards joined the Temptations in 1968, replacing David Ruffin and sang with the group from 1968 to 1976, 1980 to 1984 and 1987 to 1989. Martine Kimberley Sherrie McCutcheon (formerly Ponting, born 14 May 1976) is an English actress and singer. She began appearing in television commercials at an early age and made her television debut in the children's television drama '' Bluebirds'' in 1989. In the early 1990s, she had minor success as one third of the pop group Milan, but it was her role as Tiffany Mitchell in the BBC's soap opera '' EastEnders'' and her role in the 2003 romantic comedy ''Love Actually'' that brought her stardom.
