''Blue Heaven'' is a British television sitcom that starred Frank Skinner, Conleth Hill, John Forgeham, Nadim Sawalha and Paula Wilcox. ''Blue Heaven'' is a Scottish television documentary series filmed by BBC Scotland which followed aspiring young footballers at Rangers Football Club as they tried to forge a career in football. The series was originally broadcast in the winter of 2003 with a follow up episode in 2011. Background The building of Rangers' new training facility in July 2001 was the catalyst for the filming of a six-part television series by BBC Scotland. The show documented the hopes and aspirations of a group of young footballers as they try to make the breakthrough at Rangers. The production company, Saltire Films, was given unprecedented access for two years, the series begins during the Dick Advocaat era and continues through to the Alex McLeish's reign. "My Blue Heaven" is a popular song written by Walter Donaldson with lyrics by George A. Whiting. The song was used in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1927. It has become part of various fake book collections. In 1928, "My Blue Heaven" became a huge hit on Victor 20964-A for crooner Gene Austin, accompanied by the Victor Orchestra as directed by Nat Shilkret. It charted for 26 weeks, stayed at number one for 13, and sold over five million copies worldwide. , born on September 20, 1965 in Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese manga artist, who is well known for his manga '' Jiraishin''. As of March 2006, he is currently married and has one child. His alias is Ichigo Nekota. History He began his involvement in the manga work with the creation of ''Jiraishin'', published and serialized in Afternoon magazine and published in Kodansha, which made him a popular icon in Japan from 1992-1999. In late 1999, he published a single manga volume called ''ALIVE'', published by Shueisha. Shortly afterwards, he published ''Tetsuwan Girl'', which is also carried by Kodansha as well. Takahashi was a guest lecturer at Ritsumeikan University back in 1998, giving a talk on "Expression". Blue Heaven is a milkshake and topping flavour sold primarily in Australia. It is blue in colour, and its taste is a mix of vanilla and raspberry. Also sold by Bulla in Australia as a limited edition chocolate coated crunch ice cream since July 2018. While the origins of the flavour itself are unclear, the blue heaven colour, brilliant blue FCF, was first created in 1929. It is thought that the name of the flavour may have originated in the 1928 song, ''My Blue Heaven'', coinciding with the creation of the colour – however there is lacking evidence of the milkshake's presence on menus around Australia at the time.
