Fifth Doctor
The Fifth Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the BBC science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. He is portrayed by Peter Davison. Within the series' narrative, the Doctor is a centuries-old alien Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels in time and space in the TARDIS, frequently with companions. At the end of life, the Doctor regenerates; as a result, the physical appearance and personality of the Doctor changes. Russell Floyd (born 29 May 1962 in Croydon, London, England) is a British actor. After graduating from RADA, he played Rick in 3 episodes of London's Burning as firefighter Sally Reid's swimming instructor. He also played Bridge Street Market Inspector Michael Rose in the BBC soap opera '' EastEnders'' from 1996 to 1999, and DC Ken Drummond in the ITV police drama, ''The Bill'', from 2002 to 2005. John Pickard (born 2 November 1977 in London) is an English actor, best known for playing David Porter in the BBC sitcom ''2point4 Children'', and Dominic Reilly (brother of Tony Hutchinson, played by Pickard's own brother Nick Pickard) in Channel 4's ''Hollyoaks''. Career He trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School. He has performed on stage, in films and on TV. Thomas Brewster is a fictional character played by John Pickard in a series of audio plays produced by Big Finish Productions based on the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. An orphan and street urchin from 19th-century London, he is a companion of the Fifth and Sixth Doctors. William Nicholas Stone Courtney (16 December 1929 – 22 February 2011) was an Egyptian-born British actor. He was known for his long-running role as Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart in the BBC science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Early life Courtney was born in Cairo, Egypt, the son of a British diplomat father and half-American mother. His paternal grandfather was the journalist William Leonard Courtney. Marc Platt (born 1953) is a British novelist and playwright. He is best known for his work with the BBC science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Career After studying catering at a technical college, Platt worked first for Trust House Forte, and then in administration for the BBC. After multiple attempts to work on the series, he wrote the 1989 ''Doctor Who'' serial '' Ghost Light'' based on two proposals, one of which later became the novel ''Lungbarrow''. That novel was greatly anticipated by fans as it was the culmination of the so-called "Cartmel Masterplan", revealing details of the Doctor's background and family.
